If that's the top bid from the first club then that tells me we can probably get more from him.

People getting excited about it being a great deal, but I feel it's a bit short sighted. I'm sure a PL club would offer more if this is the starting point.

It’s bullshit from the Portuguese equivalent of John Harriott.

I wouldn't mind him going to somewhere like Lisbon. Would prefer that to Premier League.

(Although, obviously, whatever gets us most money)

Alan Nixon is saying Palace aren’t interested in Vik and Burnley weren’t impressed by his form especially in the play off run in.

He was having injections in his heel every match for a month, but good if true glad they don’t want him.

Burnley up to their usual, we know you want 20m but we think he was a bit naff towards the end of the season, so will you accept 5

can see him going to west ham, can tempt him with european football ( not quite champions league ) and he’d fit well into that team,

Kompany thinks he’s the bees knees of management I wouldn’t deal with them at all, will be in championship in 12 months anyway.

Don’t know where to start with this.

Let's take these points individually. And like with most talking points in football, these are only opinions and could be right or wrong.

Antonio will be phased out, he’s not played that much this season to be honest and very regularly injured.

Agree that at 33, he's getting past his prime for his style of play and his goalscoring has reduced dramatically. But he played in 33 of their 38 league games and was not in their game squad 4 times. And because of his presence, how often has he allowed another to score because defenders were tracking him ?

Forest have Awoniyi who hit form towards the end of the season and looks good. They signed Surridge from Stoke and I think he’s a good player.

Agree that Awoniyi hit form at the end of the season, 4 league goals up till Christmas, out with injury for 2 1/2 months then 6 goals in the last 4 league games. It's his first season with them and he does look the part. Surridge did sign from Stoke (misread he signed in 2022, thought it said 2023) but before that he was at Bournemouth. My bad. But as to his quality, your "good" review is my "Kevin Kyle meets Kevin Drinkell". I'd join Grendel in a "Taxi for Robins" call if we ever tried to sign him.

And finally, Luton.

Yes, I do believe if Luton were to make an offer (they won't), Vik would not be an auto start, he'd play in a rotation with Adebayo supporting Morris or another striker if he moved on. The Playoff final showed they are very similar players. Luton also have Cauley Woodrow in reserve but he's another I wouldn't want in our team.

Personal opinions. Other opinions may vary.

Too obvious for Brentford. Not their sort of signing.

I mean, Toney would’ve been an obvious signing at the time. Banging goals in, a division lower. It’s very similar in that way, although not quite as much of a threat in front of goal as Toney is.

May have been posted before? Report: West Ham can now sign 25-year-old perfect Antonio replacement for just £14.5m

Leeds: Whites could ditch Bamford with Gyokeres swoop

The club could revamp their forward options for their Championship campaign...

Be surprised if he went to Leeds. Certainly not for £11m.

Exactly, at what point do the club say it's a better deal to keep him and hope to go up at the end of the season.

Think he had personal issues during second half of the season which effected him, people forget but first few months he was pretty much concrete rod

Move to “ex player watch?”

I thought the guy had potential tbh. Did a job for us when we’re were at our lowest ebb.
