Taking the emotion out of it, we should all want Vik to do well over there, could mean big cash in future
With the Saudi Pro League distorting the market he could potentially move on from Sporting for a very big fee if he does well.Taking the emotion out of it, we should all want Vik to do well over there, could mean big cash in future
The goals were pure Vic too ..Good start & justifying his fee.
Yeah he got man of the match, but it could have been so different had he not scored one of them when he had two team mates in clear space, but decided to turn inside two defenders and take the shot himself. I guess the line between hero and villain is a thin one.
Maybe they'll look for another keeper from abroad... an Italian like Peroni or a Belgian like Stella Artois.Don’t rate that keeper, Superbock, had a nightmare for the visitors’ first.

Don't go there!Can you sign women’s players?
Yea, he had a proper melt down.Don’t rate that keeper, Superbock, had a nightmare for the visitors’ first.
To be fair, I don’t care who got player of the year - Gyokeres is twice the player Akpom isLooks like we did extremely well out of this deal... I've just seen Akpom is being linked with a move to Ajax for £10m...
Im not trying to bring you up for anything other than to say this transfer really was the biggest thing to happen to this club in this regards and I believe despite people over/ undervaluing the player , we had no idea did we really as supporters.“A package worth”
so £2.50 plus some cash when he wins the Mars super league. No thanks. You have the money, put it where your mouth is.
I think he'll find premier league defences far harder to crack that Portugese league defences. I hope he does well, but talk of golden boots is very premature.I think, personally, the time to get the very best out of Vik is now, with him entering his ‘biological peak’, which is generally between 28 and 32 for a male.
He could easily be a golden boot winner and give Arsenal that shove they need to win the title.
What an astute opinion!I think he'll find premier league defences far harder to crack that Portugese league defences. I hope he does well, but talk of golden boots is very premature.

We'd constantly sold our best assets for less than what they were worth and many of us just didnt believe we'd ever have a player worth so much money , especially one we paid so little for .
What did we make in the end ? Between 25 and 30 million or so ?
Crazy , what a player though

I'm just enjoying following his career at this point and I doubted he would work so well at Sporting and he proved that wrong. One thing that I think is hard for statisticians to measure or spot is his mentality - he's clearly so ambitious and determined, that should never really be an issue for him. I really like Simms but it's a night and day difference. This will stand him in good stead because it's not an easy road ahead - it will undoubtedly be another huge step up for him.I think, personally, the time to get the very best out of Vik is now, with him entering his ‘biological peak’, which is generally between 28 and 32 for a male.

I remember him missing a couple.fo.oens for us , but I think I read somewhere he has taken 23 pens for Sporting & scored all 23.I'm just enjoying following his career at this point and I doubted he would work so well at Sporting and he proved that wrong. Added into that mentality is his physique and physicality / durability - he wants to play every minute of every game, his head doesn't drop and he never stops trying.
He missed that one in the last minute away to Barnsley at the start of the post Covid season.I remember him missing a couple.fo.oens for us , but I think I read somewhere he has taken 23 pens for Sporting & scored all 23.
The two he missed for us where not very good pens but he's clearly improved his technique since leaving us .He missed that one in the last minute away to Barnsley at the start of the post Covid season.
Was never convinced by his penalties after that, but you can't argue with his record at Sporting.

That's very nice of you to say so.What an astute opinion!
