It's time the son gave a little back. Not only am I driving but I'll also be paying his £9 entrance fee as well as my own. NOPM than £18.00.

Have fun. Just wish my Dad was still here at this time of year.

I believe that the only way to get us back is not to go. Obviously there are a lot more like me. In fact evidence suggests that 90% of fans who support Coventry think the same.

So the question is .............. who is creating divisions ?

I agree which is why I shall only be attending this match....unless we get a big team at home in future rounds in which case I will be happy to support the club that I have followed all my life.

If anyone has a problem with that, then they are the ones creating divisions not me.

People calling fellow fans (including old men and kids) "scum", "scabs" and worse. People who try and force their will on others and resort to abuse when they don't get their way. People like you and many others on this forum.

I am expecting a big gate (by the recent pathetic standards anyway) on Boxing day. Ricoh/HR crowds used to shoot up Boxing day, also Posh will take plenty I imagine.

I am not so sure about Boxing Day this year. It is a 12.00 kick off, so will mean an early start following a day of excess.... well in my house it will be! A bit too risky to drive, for those who want to go?

Never called anybody a scab. Never tried to force my views by resorting to abuse.
More like people like you that call people wrongly that have an alternative view.
It's almost as if you feel guilty !!

Why should I feel guilty about supporting the team I've followed for 40 years? Why should I feel guilty about taking my son to see the team he supports?

I feel no guilt. No shame. I follow my team. The guilt and shame is thrown around by morons like you.

You won't convince me or the many 1000's of others that cannot attend for a multitude of reasons.
No problem with you supporting the team, it's the implied support of Sisu's plans by attending that is the problem for me.
No support (Reconsider?) Some Support (Plough on?)

Happy is the wrong term surely? It makes you happy that your team is failing to deliver entertaining football to its fans? You may as well support Leicester if that's how you feel.

You can still support the team without lining sisu's pockets in the process. If no home fans had turned up at sixfields since day one of the season we'd almost certainly be back at the Ricoh now.

I suppose the problem is treacherous scum still go and support SISU United, don't they?

"Almost certainly"?

BULL. SISU have taken approx £30k per home match this is not sustainable (I don't think it covers the rent at sixfields) and proves that they are in Northampton regardless of attendances.

Getting really fucking bored of this bullshit myth now....

Its quite clear to anyone with even half a brain that Sisu/Otium don't give a shit whether there are ZERO "home" fans or 2000 "home" fans.....they're losing a shit-load of cash either way....a few less quid every fortnight wouldn't suddenly make them U-turn & go cap in hand to ACL would it....

....This theory is about as solid & tested as me saying if we all painted our arses sky blue & sang the Eton boating song whilst juggling on the hill in Northampton....we'd be back at the Ricoh by now....

Utter bollocks.

Sisu are gambing on the fans returning it's not about the short term but the long term. The more hope you give them the more they will dig their heels in.

Clearly the losses are sustainable because they are ploughing on with plan A

It's not only the losses it's the publicity of it all.
2000 fans will go under the radar but zero fans will be picked up on.
Not sure whether zero fans would sway the Football League to say that Sixfields is not suitable and tell Sisu to bite the bullet.

It's nothing to do with the football it's where it is played. I'm happy below a 1000 because it makes a point to Sisu and if the FL had more guts, to them as well.

It's not just about getting SISU to change their stance, they have proved that they are prepared to gamble with the club's entire history on the off-chance they get their grubby little hands on the Ricoh for £2.50.

It's more about the pressure that would have been applied by the media/fans on the FL if we were playing in front of ZERO Coventry fans every week, instead of the 1,400 super fans. It would make global sports news if we had NO supporters at 'home' and then thousands at every away game.

The football, whether its entertaining or not, isn't really important at the moment though is it?

You will have to explain !!
I thought the team were delivering entertaining football yet most fans only watch it at away matches.
If you mean people are not coming to Sixfields because it's not entertaining then you have missed the point why people are really not going there.

I thought that was the whole problem? CCFC are not playing entertaining football in Coventry. I thought that was what was wrong and the main topic of debate.
