West Ham have sold 7k...

Add our 11k, + 3k walk ups, cause its West Ham,

looks like it might top 20k.

We wont see that again this season !!

For some strange reason someone at work said they've now increased from 6,200 and sold 7,000 , has anyone else heard this or is my mate full of it ?

pusbccfc - i'll go for 20,013 - The loser buys the other a pint at the next away game I see you at !

I have heard some people mention 7000, but honestly where would they fit(in their stand obviously ).
When leeds and leicester sold out they had the end full to the brim of 6200, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't go any closer to the Coventry fans in the corner due to police regulations...?

my guess is 19,546 with a honourable draw between us, Ok i've had a couple of whiskies, 3-1 to West Ham.
We will play really well for 13 minutes in the second half and score our goal in that period via Clingan. The Boss will say shortly after the game that the players gave their all and he can't ask anymore of them, and qoute yet again that he's looking at bringing in a loan player this week.

What, the real gate, or the one the board give us that includes all season-ticket sales, whether they go through the turnstile or not?!

I can't believe that little move: we'd thought that was going on, but never thought anyone would actually admit it like the bloke on CWR did last week. Even better was his explanation-he seemed amazed they were even asking with his "Well, of course they're included...the attendance is all the tickets sold, obviously". NO IT ISN'T! THE ATTENDANCE IS ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE GROUND ON THE DAY! If I have a ticket, and do not "attend", I should not be included in the "attendance"! Try using a dictionary, pal.

It does however hint at the philosophy; once they've got our ST dosh, we don't count anymore. Well if they don't care that a large number of season ticket holders don't bother going to some games, how the hell are they meant to market to these people in a bid to get them renewing in the future? Very short-termed thinking, that.

Anyhoo...Official Attendance: 17,948.
Actual Attendance: 15,673.

Sorry NLHWC, the bloke on CWR is correct....it's based on the 'paid' gate and not the 'actual', which is even more important in Cup games as the visitors get a percentage of the 'paid' gate money.

Maybe SISU have shoved us all into the Tesco stand and giving the cockneys the other 3 ends of the ground....it would make them some money, and let's face it, that is what turns them on...sod the result.

Good point, based on average home cup ties over the last 11 years, this is a very necessary way of calculating the attendance....

Why don't they publish both attendances...actual and paid...or would that be too embarrassing for SISU...a few thousand who pay for a ticket but can't be ars8d to turn up...that is the ultimate snub...also include how many complimentaries/freebies are given away...or for that info we could just ask the Sky Blue Trust and Natalie Cox.

I had a look as well the other day, it looked worse than most this season, its incredibly embarrassing that west ham will half the support of cov fans, and if you take away the corporate lot many of which don't support City, then your looking at 6230 hammers and 10,000ish coventry.
Oh dear.

The attendance is mainly given out for tax purposes, you have to give all tickets sold. It's always been like this at every club, nothing we are doing different.

do they count the freebies they give out? some sports will make 2 figures available the actual attendance on the the and the number of tickets sold.

Who is honestly going to trot up to the Ricoh and pay £24 to watch our kids take on West Ham.................more to the point who in their right mind wants to put any cash into the hands of SISU, when we know damn well they are creaming everything they can??

This is exactly the type of game where the club needed to do some sort of offer to increase attendance.
Allocate extra cheap schools tickets, buy one get one half price etc. It's one of very few games which people would be more interested in but it simply wont happen if prices are still at peak. Can only hope a fair few of us season ticket holders use the discounted +1 option. Otherwise cant see it topping 20k. I just struggle finding another Coventry fan in Coventry!

With the amount of West ham fans going we have surely got to get 20000. That is only about 1500 more than we have had for other games and west ham are quite a big draw.
