Oi ! All my family are from mining villages all around Donny, great place, lovely views and very nice people (despite most being Leeds fans). The pub you're on about might have been my uncles to be honest.
Roker park - Hated the walk, always fucking freezing.
Ayresome park - Dump.
Filbert street - Fucking hate them.
Sixfields - Took me ages to dry off.
Fratton park - Expected a lot better.
A couple on here said Millwall but always found it a good place to go, good mate of mine is a big Millwall fan and they are very funny people when you're with them.
Also Wolves away around 2003 ish. Won 2-0 but got a half eaten burger thrown on top of my head from the fans above, then after the game the police insisted we head back to the train station even though I explained that we had driven and was parked just around the corner, ignoring this fact we were marched direct to the station then once we got there we were free to walk back in the opposite direction back to the stadium to find our car. This nice walk back was made even more enjoyable by the six or seven local chavs walking with myself and my two friends informing us for the next 20 minutes that they were all going to knock us out.....they didn't.
Luton, Withdean, Sutton (watched Kettering there the same season they knocked us out to cleanse the soul - it worked ish), Baseball Ground, Birmingham in the early 80's - pure danger including the Police)
I quite enjoyed my one and only (brief) visit to turd moor. The ground at least. It still had a little of the "old" which I like to see at football grounds. However a quick 2-0 reverse, a player sent off and the coup de grace being my mate spilling the majority of his meat pie down the back of my 501's, impelled me and a couple of others to leave at half time and take solace in a couple of nearby hostelry's. I know this type of action can be frowned upon by the "die hards", but I can assure you 501's were back "in" at the time.
Burnden Park Bolton think it was boxing day coldest place in the world if you stepped over the white line on the away terrace you couldnt see the whole pitch.
Vicarage Road Watford walking through the allotments for a night match.
Yes, Burnden park late 1990's (96/97?) coldest I've ever been at a match. Consolation being that bizarre GK's foul on salako I think, leading to a 90 min penalty and 1-o win. Or was it 2-1? My brain still hasn't thawed.
