who wants to blame everyone?
I haven't mentioned blaming anyone. I'm just putting you straight on your ridiculous assertion that people want to hold the authorities responsible for a faulty fridge freezer!

That could have been far less tragic with the correct cladding.
Who's fault is that?

And now it turns out that when hiring WSP, the experts hired to test cladding, a clause was inserted in to the contract forbidding them putting forward anything that would generate “adverse publicity” for number 10, the cabinet office or other bodies.

Of course this is clearly normal behaviour for someone who is confident they are blameless.

Oh for fucks sake what is wrong with you lefties........Ok...say if a plane crashes and the fault was some part of the engine not up to standard then lessons would be learnt and they wouldn't use that part again........Agree ?

And the accusation is the fire wouldn't have spread if the correct cladding had been used.
72 people died. it needs a full and open investigation and if said investigation concludes it was an unavoidable accident then fair enough.

Actually it was flagged up numerous times by residents associations prior to the fire as well as failed inspections.
ITV News has seen documents which are the first to reveal there were official warnings about fire safety at Grenfell Tower before the fire that killed 72 of its residents.

A fire deficiency notice from the then London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), served in November 2016, and a separate independent Fire Risk Assessment, both identified multiple failures at Grenfell that required prompt action by the building management, the Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation (KCTMO).

The warnings from the independent assessor were issued in June 2016, one year before the fire, with deadlines for action.

The fridge was an accident. The way it spread should not have occurred and had corners not been cut to save money wouldn't have occurred.

but if the manufacturers had been told prior to fitting the part that it wasn't fit for purpose and they fitted it anyway then they'd be negligent.

And if they knew of the issue years in advance but kept the planes flying despite a clear risk of passengers dying you wouldn't have a problem with that?

Personally I would expect any plane known to have an issue putting it at risk of crashing to be taken out of service immediately.

Lefties? For fuck sake.
Do you think only people who have to have left wing political leanings want to get to the bottom of tragedies and prevent them happening again.
You have a very low opinion of people on the right and one I don't share.

I consider myself slightly right leaning. Muppets like you make me want to go left.

The cladding was the cause of many deaths. The fridge may have caused one, if the correct cladding was fitted.

Happy to just blame the people that cut corners to save a few quid that ended up killing 70 people. You are obviously happy to put a numerical value on human life.

The conception, I imagine, originated from pure gallows humour that was very possibly hilarious to those involved. We all laugh at sick stuff in the comfort of our own homes.

Putting it online was the biggest mistake they ever made because everything online is taken literally and without context.

The day after 9/11 one of my mates in school walked into class with a shirt on that had the burning towers printed on it. I was in tears of laughter. Not because thousands had died horrifically but because of the absurdity and darkness of it and no one directly effected knew of it so no harm no foul etc

Todays world is totally different though and nothing is treated with common sense, just politically correct, knee jerk, click bait, thought crime, fake outrage bullshit.

a lot of it is just for the purpose of political point scoring.
It's not a left or right thing everyone's at it and I'd be lying if I said I'd never fallen into the trap.

The problem is it's a fine line between making a genuine point and faux outrage and whataboutery.

As much as these peoples actions may offend, they have not broken a single law and the powers know it. They arrested them under the only thing they could think of, public order, the CPS would never allow that near a court.

Well....it wasn't a crime in 2019 when he was originally aquitted....

It was clearly offensive but it was, all said and done, just a sick joke in poor taste shared on a couple private WhatsApp groups....whether it's actually "criminal" or not is clearly a subjective ruling.

Just a shame the CPS appear to have the time and resources to invest and re-visit so called "crimes" that hurt a few peoples feelings but consistently fail to prosecute cases of rape, assault, aggravated burglary, street robbery etc.

I appreciate its a different force but they've put far more effort into investigating this than they put into to investigating my son and his mate getting robbed at knifepoint.

Robbers don’t tend to record their crimes then admit to them TBF.

That's a very flippant remark.
The police didn't even visit my son or his mate. There were 7 knifepoint robberies in cov that weekend and the police didn't visit one victim in person, they did everything over the phone but hey, don't miss out on an opportunity to try and be a smart arse.

Yeah it's strange really, this must be an easy job where they don't have to get off their arses.

I've reported a few things to them, one was that my car got hit by an uninsured, taxed, mot'd off road bike while I was driving on the road. They took the prick on it away in an ambulance, he actually made a complaint I'd slapped him and stolen his motorbike after he hit my car. They then turned round and said they didn't have enough evidence to identify him. (I told them his name, witnesses said his name, he rang them up to complain about me too).

Hope your son and his mate are ok.
