Off the back of the Greatest sportsperson thread and listening to Judy Murray interviewed on the drive to Morecombe yesterday, got me thinking, who has changed the face of British sport the most without actually crossing the line.
The ones that stick in my mind, Judy, Dave Brailsford (minus recent unconfirmed revelations) any others?
Boxing snooker darts and orient. Sure mostly to line his own pockets but the way he had revolutionised darts and snooker is unrivalled and a greay promoter for boxing now taken on by Eddie. Seems a decent bloke too which is unusual in his field.
