would you take finishing where we are now and a JPT final ?

After how the season started, we should be content with that.
But we do seem to have some good momentum now, so I'd like to push it and see where we can get to.

Though If DM goes in Jan, it might start falling apart.

No. The league must remain the target. Top 6 is very doable for MR's and that's where the end of the rainbow is...not in the JPT however romantic.

I'd quite like to win the jpt and go up via the play offs. Why do we have to choose? We can dream, right?

No, the league this season is of a poor standard and it is quite clear that if Robins had been in from the start we would be top 6 by now. Yes it would be nice to go to wembley but id rather go for a play off final than the jpt

The league is very tight with only 13 points separating 1st and 15th!

We keep playing like we are scoring goals for fun (now 3rd top scorers in the league) we can make up the 9 points to the play offs and even 13 points to the top!

Remember its 24 points from 13 games, which is a massive turn around!

The key is going to be the next 4 games (all above us currently in the league) and our dealings in January!

Mark Robins is the man to get us up, if not this season then definitely next season! Just need the stupidity behind the scenes to resolve its self because at the moment its a pleasure to watch the city!

No reason why we shouldn't now be looking at the play-offs as minimum based on league form since Robins came in. The only thing preventing it is SISU getting in the way which they almost certainly will.

I firmly believe we can 'do a Reading' and win the league from mid table, this season will be close as there is no clear 'top dog' in the league. If we have a good December, we could be right up there (all teams are above us). Believe.

Winning the league might be too much, but play offs minimum.

A lot of this is pinned on securing or adequately replacing McGoldrick, Bailey and Adams.

Interestingly we are actually 1 point further away from 6th position since Robins took over, however we have got closer to those at the top.

Not a chance. The league should be our priority, I'd rather we fielded a weakened side for the tin/paint pot trophy.

I agree, not so much Adams, Bailey might be replaceable (CT4) but McG is of paramount importance we tie him up, but it might not happen.

If we sign McG, we have a chance.

JPT is a mickey mouse comp created for teams that win fuck all. Play offs should be this seasons priority and if SISU don't pull the rug from under MR's feet in Jan, then we will do it.

True- but recent form suggests that things could be about to change, and I would choose play offs instead of JPT, Leyland DAF, Sherpa Van whatever trophy.

Will be great to get to Wembley with Cov and win a cup.
I'd never turn my nose up to that.

Remember that great JPT final of 2007 when erm... whoever played er... someone. Not as good as the 2009 final when it finished errr.. well I'm sure someone won it.

Who gives a shit about the JPT. If the majority are honest they have probably never even watched one on TV.

It was crap last season and just cos we are now in it, it's still crap.

League all the way for me.

League is bread and butter, but it would be glorious if we could win the JPT, not respectable in the 'big leagues', but it's an opportunity for ££££ and a trophy in the cabinet! Which at the min, is filled with dust!

I can't remember which teams played in the 2007 FA cup final, or even what happened in the 2009 final.
But it doesn't mean I wouldn't want to win it this year.

All the old memorabillia cup,etc have been moved away so Sisu can't sell them.

Is that serious? Oh well, if we win it, and SISU leave, we have more memorabilia to add to the cabinet.

What a turnaround in opinion since the other day!

When I suggested the league was the priority and play offs were achievable most wanted a JPT and Wembley final. Jeez how a good victory at home can change opinions!

Even have some of you suggesting we can get automatic promotion...now you are being optimistic.

If it was the Old Wembley I'd agree, but most of us have already been to the Emirates now and Wembley's just a bigger version with more uncomfortable seats, oh and even more of a rip off.
