what a load of nonsense….

yes, he’s done great things for the club, that doesn’t need to be said, but nothing lasts forever and if things carry on the way they have been for a while now he’ll more than likely be gone, you need to get over the loyalty bollocks, there isn’t any in football unfortunately

and whilst my post was half tongue in cheek, a coach in the Potter mould is just what we’d need if Robins went, in my humble opinion of course

The mans still in the fucking job and you’re trying to wank off someone to replace him.
We’re 7 games into the season. Its distasteful as fuck

If you genuinely and realistically think the man whos most recent job is at Chelsea and paid him in the millions is waiting for this job to pop up, it explains an awful lot why you also think Robins should go after 7 games.

I haven’t said I want him gone, I honestly think if he’s given time he could turn it round, although he’s had a shocking record from the Wolves game last season - and before you say cup run, distractions blah blah blah it doesn’t matter, form is form and ours is awful

I do however want to see the club show how ambitious they really are.

there’s nothing ‘distasteful’ about discussing what is a real possibility, and you’re naive and a little bit stupid if you think otherwise - you seem to be taking these discussions rather personally though…..

Mark Robins leaving, either on his own accord or being sacked by a success hungry owner

and I’ve been a supporter almost 35 years, but I don’t agree with ‘always has and always will’ - we always stayed up until that one season when we didn’t, you can’t make decisions on that logic

and if anything for me it’s not the results, or league position at the minute, it’s more the shockingly bad performances, attitudes, lack of passion, aggression..

35 years, fair play, before this season 87 was the last time the club and fans were this close together, that’s down to one man, I’ll back him until he’s ready to leave, he’s earned that, it’s 7 games, post something positive about him, don’t need this

the fans seem to be starting to turn though, be that because of Robins, King, the players….

genuine question then, if we were relegated back down to League 2 and then he decided to leave would you be backing him all the way?

It’s also not 7 games, look at the record from Wolves onwards, we’ve not been great for some time! Having said that, my post wasn’t directly aimed at MR, but there is a real possibility at the minute he won’t be here come the end of the season if things continue the way they are..

come on mate,we’re not going back down to league 2 and that cup run was worth the finish to the season we had, it’s obvious without that cup run we don’t finish like that, and robins was only doing what king demanded, we were putting out stronger teams for the cup games than the league, frustrating as it his we’ve been here before, wev’e not had a bad season since he’s been here, not that you can call this a bad season yet after 7 games , he’s allowed one

The fans aren't starting to turn though are they....

Its just the same idiots who wanted a change at roughly this same point in the previous two seasons.

Potter was on £200k a week at Chelsea.

such as?

can you see the irony that people here go on about other sites / social media but then slate anybody on here for raising anything or having an opinion??

I actually have a lot of time for a fair amount of people’s posts on here, particularly @Perennial Lurker, but obviously suggest something people aren’t happy with and the stock response from most is jump down your throat rather than having a sensible grown up discussion!

If you don’t have anything constructive, substantive or even just pleasant to say then why comment? are your lives that empty, seriously??

did you not see my third post - he’s the kind of coach, IF Robins was to go….

whilst I wouldn’t completely write it off (Potter, not you and Taylor Swift) we’re not even looking for a new manager at the minute so it’s all hypothetical

it seems anybody even dares mention potentially replacing Robins, or that he’s struggling or needs to do better and half the forum is up in arms

nobody is criticising his past achievements, it’s the here and now that’s the concern
