Maybe we can now put to bed the idea that
The signings over the summer are that bad we have no depth in the squad of quality.

We win 3-2 away against our promotion competitors.

5 of the new signings involved. Including Elliot and Fleck hailed as some of the worse signings.

Only two of the recent signings involved.

Hence we are strong we do have a top squad we will get promoted.

I was about to make this exact thread

Forget thorn the manager but as a scout he knew his stuff

Edge, fleck, Barton,Murphy, jennings,DMC all playing a huge part

Ppl talked down Elliott and look at them now, our squad is great for l1. Bell included!

Stop the silly talk of no strength in depth

Trouble was he was the manager. Just a minor blemish on the record of our saviours

He did identify McGolrick too. Not his fault Waggott couldn't or wouldn't deliver - either when we needed him in Last January's window; or over the summer.

Now I spoiled Grendandy's evening; I'll off to company a cheeky Chablis ;-)

I knew Thorns signings would come good! Still think the only ones whos been overlooked (Malaga) at the minute could still do a job but I trust Robin's view as our current manager and the decision he makes on that one! Plus its not like we need CB's at the minute with Woody and Edge's form!

The others are all beginning to show what Thorn saw in them!

Barton and Fleck have taken time to settle in, but both feet somethin to our team as we've seen in recent weeks.

Elliott, lets not get too excited after this one game with two goals. He had a blip in the early part of the season after beginning to impress and hopefully this is the end of the blip

Christ MMM, they were all Waggott's when it was thought that they weren't any good.

Could have sworn you did?

Would do a search for Mary_Mungo_Midge and Waggott, but fear it would bring up all of your posts!

Nope. But by all means do so. Settle down with a glass of port and a bijou cigarillo and allow the chronology of my wisdom to lap at your toes like warm waters....

Indeed, how unfortunate that the club didn't follow your advice and keep on Andy Thorn.

Anyone with a decent football knowledge could see when we thumped Hinckley 8-0 we had signed some decent players. They however were dossing about under a scout as our manager. It's nice to see now that their quality is starting to show

Unbelievable.

I would have thought you would be hiding away on shame by now.

What you really should be asking is if we had robins last September where would we be now.

The credit is 100% robins and 0% thorn.

To suggest anything else is completely disrespectful to a man who is turning the wreckage of the last 18 months into success.
