5 possible new investors registering interest at this very early stage according to the administrator. Staggering to have that many at this stage and can only be seen as very encouraging and confirms the massive potential investors see and can only be good for the security and future of the stadium and football club and no doubt puts pressure on SISU
Many more potential investors to come as things unfold
This list of five, is likely to go down, more than increase, as the Joe Dhinsa, Alki David type applicants, get edited out of the equation.
I find it hard to imagine a clammer of genuine interest, in what has now become a pityful excuse for a foot ball club, and I do label them so, with a heavy heart.
Sounds good but are the potential investors interested in the football club or the surrounding land? Been a cov fan to long and can only see the doom and gloom side to everything at the moment!5 possible new investors registering interest at this very early stage according to the administrator. We will have to see who is correct a myself and other business acquaintances have discussed this topic at length . The potential to buy a stadium outright on the cheap to the right type of consortium and possible grants to regenerate the area will be high on many investors shopping lists Fact-
The council will insist that to get there backing and to be considered into what will ultimately be a bargain price, the current and long term future of the football club will be high on the agenda and who ever submits the plans that cement the long-term future of the whole project will be successful.
At some stage in the future there will be no ACL involved, and no higgs trust and certainly no council the council who are coming under increased pressure from rate payers, and fellow politicians will look for an exit sooner rather than later.

I really can nt grasp why you believe the Council will be gone and ACL will be gone. A company like ACL will always be required to run the non football side of the stadium. Hopefully the same owners will own both.
I think that you are deluded if you and the other posters think that the Council will be gone. The Council WILL NOT SELL their share in the stadium TO ANY ONE. I wish you d listen to what the Council say. Without that sale we have very limited scope for a great CCFC rescue.

Would good guys be vultures? I would think they would circulate too rather than swarm.
A long way to go on this.....But, it would be interesting to see what Grendel et al have to say on this positive news. SISU may not be the only show in town.
Rob 9872.. What is your view on this view not that there are interested parties?

Well, they haven't shown us the colour of their money yet, so not going to get too excited. Obviously the whole ACL thing also complicates any potential takeover too.
However, if they stupid and rich then "Welcome To Coventry City".

It would be a surprise if there were no takers for the whole complex, owned or part owned.
It is a prime site with loads of advantages for development.
We just need to get rid of SISU and their imaginary friend AVRO. Take your debts and leave.
Why is it a prime site? Prime for what?

Use your imagination. I'd say brain... But that's questionable with you.

Grendel, you tease, you know the answer: stadium, casino, conferences, banqueting, planning permission and site for hotels and further leisure and retail outlets ... Motorway 2 minutes away, railway station soon. Lots of opportunities as Olympics, Heinekin cup, Davis Cup etc demonstrates. CCC will do a deal with a serious investor, ACL will sell their share cheaply. CCFC could slowly grow and return to a higher level. Why is it a prime site? Prime for what?

Only fly in the ointment is SISU
Where has the administrator said this?

I can't find it -- yesterday he said one had.

The like's of Haskell as an example will want to buy all the stadium and run the show, or else he would be silly to invest any monies. Why would the likes of Haskell then want to employ someone such as ACL. A new investor such as haskell may take on some of ACL staff, but they will certainly want to form their own promotions company and reap the profits and control themselves instead of paying a wedge to a management company.
The council have no long term interest in the stadium and will want to sell to the correct investor which was always the case as the councils prime objective is the regeneration of the area that will bring in many jobs, etc. that's what councils are supposed to do.
The council seem tarred by some as money snatching and making a quick buck which I do not think is the case and although not a great lover of the council, they have to act in a way that is best for the people and if someone agreed to buy the stadium and also regenerate the area then they would have little choice because that's what the majority of rate payers would most likely want.
