Sorry if you got excited by the title but I thought I'd just mention the news I've just read about little Newport FC here on the IoW. They have secured a pre-season friendly against newly promoted Portsmouth FC!
The average Newport FC gate is 120 - 130. Last time they played Pompey the gate was a record 3,112! There are hundreds of Portsmouth and Southampton fans here on the island. Think it should be a good run out! I'll be booking a ticket for this one!
