As a kid, I used to hide in bushes and wait for a long drive and then run out, nick the ball and add it to my collection, then I'd flog them down at the local second-hand shop!
My Springer would grab anything that moves so when on the old Newbold common course he would run on the fairway and pick any ball that he came across - he would drop them eventually but never in the hole
