Don't think I am an idiot tbh. Don't think it is OTT you make the same thread each week which is boring and predictable. Nobody expected us to win today but you have to go in believing you can. All this thread is, is telling the people who thought we would win/draw (which no doubt was said in hope rather than expectation) that they were silly/wrong/stupid and you were right again. No doubt if we get relegated you will make a similar thread.

So much nonsense in one post.

1. He does not make the same thread each week; don't libel a user just because you disagree with them.

2. Of course people expected us to win. There are a few of us who said it is unsustainable to keep losing away and keep winning at home; anybody who thinks that the team is in with a legitimate chance of survival does, by default, believe that away results can be obtained. Don't sulk when the obvious has to keep being hammered home.

3. I doubt any user wishes to be proven right if it means the club's fortunes decline; most, probably all, will put club before ego. The whole point of threads such as this is to add some balance to the forum. You're not going to get a baselessly optimistic post without getting a skeptical one too (and vice versa). There's nothing wrong with taking the position that you do, but stand behind it instead of whimpering for censorship.

When you walked the ball out for throw ins?
When you overhit every forward pass?

If that was a reasonable performance then you're down.

I've never been so relaxed at a game against you, not happy that we weren't 4-0 up but every time you threatened and one of my mates got worried that we would pay for it, you screwed up wonderfully.
You never threatened, you never even chased or harried and for that you deserve to go down.

Hopefully we'll beat Bristol City, it may give you more time.

I said comfortable, not dominant-there's a difference. The second goal was a total gift and until then, you offered nothing in the 2nd half. If you see my during match comments, I'm criticising the joke defending you have to thank for your goals. Make no mistake, your boys are just as toothless-but they don't defend like clowns.

The goal kick with 2 minutes to go when none of your players ran to pick the ball up and throw it to Schmeichel, he wasted 20 seconds or so.
You weren't going to get a goal, let alone 2 but you still chase every fucking ball, if not you shouldn't be playing the game.

Stop being so daft.
You've scored 7 in 17 away games, Nugent has scored 14 this season.

It has a lot more to do than just clowns in your defence, every forward ball was overhit or didn't seem to have any intended recipient.

If every other team we play this season is as 'comfortable' as opposed to being 'dominant' then we're going up.

Why would anyone think we are going to get an away win this season?

That is now 10 defeats on the trot and 7 goals from 17 games.

From what I saw today, we didn't look like scoring much at all ....... yet again.

Is it just Sky Blue tinted glass thinking?

I cannot see anything that makes me think we will win away this season. I actually think we may just lose every single one.

To be honest with you I was called into work today and could not even listen to the commentary so I have had to depend on the BBC report

Before the game I full expected us to lose to Leicester with the Players they have including two strikers who have recently been involved in 10 million pounds worth of transfers (combined)

When you say we never looked like scoring the below from the BBC report stands out to me

The visitors almost took the lead in the first minute when Kasper Schmeichel saved David Bell's effort,
Coventry responded well, Nimely shaving the crossbar with a rising shot following a weaving run
Nimely in the penalty area, but Schmeichel denied Clingan. (penalty)
shots on goal 7 5 to Leicester.

Now if you went to the game or listened to the whole match maybe the above is misleading but it gives me the impression we had 3 good opportunities to score.

Also we had 5 shots Leicester had 7.

It sounds like they dominating possession, however it also seems like they had 2 top strikers whereas we sold our 1 top striker in January, so as I say I never expected us to beat Leicester.

But in answer to your question I cant see us beating Watford, Cardiff, Hull. I think we will get 2 draws and a defeat.

Can I ask why was it that Clingan took the penalty. Sheffs clinically put the two away against Leeds under a lot of pressure.

Also on a seperate note good to see a bit of a stronger subs bench. If those lot get fitter it could be very good. Very pleased with the other results today as well,
I wrote us off today so I was more focused on them and it did not turn out that bad.

Overlook Nuge missing left right and centre if you want. Some of our players harried, some didn't-some are good enough, some aren't. You were just as unconvincing going forward, but defended far better-for me, that's where the game was won and lost.

Daft? How? You act as though you tore us to ribbons from start to finish when you offered very little for extended periods yourselves. Don't get so defensive.

We've scored 7 goals in 1,530 minutes away from home. Opposing goalkeepers must take a book to read when they play us. It's beyond embarrassing.

P.S lets not forget Leicester have lost 1 out of their last 10 home matches and have spent between 10-15 million in the last couple of years. They are no push over especially for a team that are in the bottom three, sell all of their best players are skint and are not very good at away matches. So I hope no one is too shocked by todays defeat.

Of course surprise results happen from time to time. But come on, today was haves vs have nots-and by Championship standards Leicester are a carbon copy of misfiring Chelski.

We've taken three points from 17 away games. The issue here is that nobody should be shocked by an away defeat to any team. That's what's so disappointing. Sugarcoating that miserable fact is to just continue living in the bubble.

I think my original point's been misinterpreted to a fair extent. Financial issues have been at the root of this season's problems, agreed? Leicester have spent £15 m this season, we have spent barely £400k. Therefore, we would be expected, in this game, to struggle to properly compete. I am not defending the away form as a whole-I've criticised it time and time again as you're both well aware. Too much time in the cellar, Duffy.

We offered very little after going 2-0 up, we didn't have to.
I wish we pushed on more when winning but that's Pearson for you.

I'd say you offered nowt till you scored again, then looked more threatening, but there we are. We disagree, fair enough, let's call it a night.

We will beat Watford away in 2 weeks. Also will beat Bristol City away. Watford getting to the point of nothing to play for and are not that great. Bristol C is a big one. Could decide who goes down.

Coventry fans are negative by nature, to be honest I think some on here would hate if we had any success as they would need to find something else to moan about. A bit of belief from the fans may do the players a world of good but that will never happen.

But how are we going to get a shock result away if we don't score?

SEVEN goals in SEVENTEEN away games.

That wouldn't be a shock, that would be Hitler coming back to life and backscuttling Mother Teresa.

Don't know if this has been mentioned (cba to read every previous post!), but I'm sure another 2 away losses would be the club record of 12 straight away defeats, something that hasn't happened since about 1926!

I love the way that instead of looking at our home form and saying "Andy Thorn's got 5 wins out of 6 from a poor squad full of kids and players nobody would want" you turn it around and use the home form against him.

It is clear to see that more mental toughness is required away at hostile grounds like yesterday.

Just how much mental toughness are a bunch of kids likely to have?

Simple question.

I'm not using it against him. What I am saying is, if we can win 5 out of 6 home games, how come when we go away we hardly as much as muster a shot on goal. 7 goals in 17 away games. that is truly, truly shocking.

Our home form is great. Certainly in no way am I using that against anyone. And how many kids are we playing at the moment?

Think you will also find the home support can be pretty hostile at times.
