Barton, Kilbane, MacDonald, Elliott....all scored so far this season.

Kilbane's goal tonight was a stunner. Lovely curl on it, and the keeper was rooted. Wouldn't be surprised if he said to his defence - "Well what the hell am I supposed to do about that?"

True, but they weren't the A+ efforts scored by his comrades. Gotta have standards you know.

In truth, Baker fully deserved his goal, he could rip this league a new one if he keeps his form and confidence up.

Ironically, his goal was one of the more scrappy efforts we've put into the opposition net this season. 10/10 for persistence.

The problem we've had in recent seasons is that our midfield players have not been scoring goals. We've been reliant on our strikers for our goals, and last season one of our short comings was that they didn't score as many as they could (and should) have done. This season, the problem appears to have been addressed, it's just a shame it's taken as long as it has to sort it out. I really believe there is a few goals to be had from our midfield this season, which would certainly make a change!
