Crewe's manager said they controlled the game. Is that true? If so why were we not throwing the kitchen sink at them.

I thought they controlled it. But we gave them that luxury by losing the first leg 3-0.

We were over-run in the middle of midfield, couldn't hold the ball, resorted to lumping it long nearly all game.

Not sure why Elliot and bailey went off either when it was crying out for shef to go off.

I thought we got it wrong again tonight, I know that sounds crazy given we won 2-0 but still. For 89 minutes it was pretty poor.

Totally agree kingsharvest..... We were poor tonight and seemed totally devoid of ideas.
2-0 masks a pretty clueless performance.
How they didn't score with Cameron in the form he was god only knows...
They had to score for us to kick us into any life....but we still had a golden chance to put a ball into the box at 2-0...step up mcsheffrey to scuff the ball to the first man.
What happened to the advice Carsley was given at his seminar????.... He obviously didn't bother to follow it.
Like I said, 2-0 masks how bad we were.....Crewe won't play/set up like that on Saturday.

First 20 mins we started quick and were in their faces and looked well up for the fight. The hour after that though we gave them too much room and without creating much were on top (bit like us under Thorn). Last 10 we had at least 4 great chances in the 6 yard box that we should have buried even before the 2 goals.

Summed it up perfectly, I wasn't surprised to see Elliot subbed though, I thought he had a very poor game along with a majority of the rest to be fair, a huge opportunity missed !

Yet stats say we had 51% possession and 14 shots on goal to their 6.

Wonder what we would have had, had we played well.

Sky sports said we should have hammered them had we taken our chances early on

Yep they did.

Should have been a whitewash according to their reporter.

think this is a case of frustrated cov fans not seeing the game for what it was possibly?
