He seems, from every clip I see (and I know that shouldn't be a decider) to be someone that wants to be "mates" with the players and doesn't seem to have a cut throat side to him/be able tell it as it is to a player. Could be very wrong regarding this though.

Wonder if we'll see us go back to 3 at the back with wing backs. It stifles our attack but if we're honest, it's hardly been fantastic as of late anyway.

But considering we keep shipping dog shit goals, you have to wonder if it's being considered.

Wasn't Delaney a defender and played at a decent level?

It's not a problem with the defenders per se, it's defending well as a unit which isn't necessarily the remit of a defensive coach. Just be careful you're not barking up the wrong tree here.
