Several times over the last couple of weeks - seeing people along with me who have waited 25 years to get back to the top league - has been a fantastic season - still can quite believe how good it has been - when they lifted the trophy and i said to my my wife this may be the one and only time we see this in our lifetime ( not including the previous tropy lifts etc)

I love to see it if I'm honest, if it's over something momentous at least.
If its over a contentious 8th minute throw in decision so you can get on Sky then those responsible need banning.

Playing in a European competition, which we haven’t managed in well over 50 years, and were denied in ‘87, would be comparable for me. Europa League or above though, I don’t really count the Conference League.

Winning the Conference League would probably top an FA Cup win to be honest. It’d be class winning silverware abroad.

That said, I know a Palace fan and the FA Cup win was the best thing he’s experienced in football.

No tears but definitely took my moment of reflection/remembrance during Frank's speech on Sunday as felt a huge sense of pride in the club, players, management and the supporters.

The sun shone, the ground looked magnificent, the support was excellent and the team played really quite well - it genuinely felt like we are a proper club.

After that just gave the daughter a massive hug and all was well with world for that moment...

Honestly, it was in the preamble to the Wrexham match when I was queuing for a beer. Looking around and seeing the rammed fanzone, hearing the music, seeing all the kids in CCFC tops on their fathers' shoulders, seeing the cardboard cutout of Lampard, just the general carnival atmosphere... I couldn't help but think about the boxing day Bristol Rovers away day, the final day of the L1 relegation season, all of the shit that we've all been through over the last several years when moments like that felt like they belonged in a different universe

I think on almost every big occasion over the last decade I've felt this way. Just proud of the players who've achieved something historic - whether that be the checkatrade, the league 2 playoff win, the league 1 PPG covid title... even the 2 x playoff disappointments and the FA Cup Semi. What they've all done is restored a lot of hope & pride to a fanbase that really deserved it.

The moment that really got me on Sunday was the players walking out with their kids, thinking about what it meant to some of these players and their families. Especially the folks who have seen a good few of the last 5-10 years. Looking at the folks in & around the stadium and understanding how long we'd all waited for this.

The last 10 years have just been an absolutely bonkers ride.

A few times recently , I was emotional in the build up of to the Sheffield Wednesday game thinking of my dad who was a big city fan but had passed away. Then the Blackburn game when promotion was achieved bottom lip went. I was fine in the Portsmouth game . Then the Build up on Sunday to the teams walking out and then the trophy lift and Franks speech set me off again .
