The only people likely to attack strangers in Cov aren't really checking what they're wearing before picking a target.

Let's just say , I think it would be an unwise thing to do.

If that's true then I am glad I am bringing my children up 200 miles away from Coventry.

Edit: Not that they would be seen dead in a Leicester shirt!

I can assure younger fans there is nothing new about glory hunters.

When I was working at Rootes/Chrysler in the 70s there were plenty of them around. The teams in fashion then were Leeds and Liverpool. They didn`t wear club shirts then and had mostly never seen their heroes in the flesh, but every Monday they`d be heard bragging about how "we", as they would put it, had performed in the weekend match.

Exactly. Was reading an article earlier today, would link it if I could remember where it was, that said Leicester winning the league will be a nightmare for clubs like Southampton and Norwich now. There will be a huge expectation for them to be able to do similar and increased pressure to pump in silly amounts of money.

People are going on like they were all free transfers nobody else wanted!

Their first XI cost 23mil, including frees and bargain buys. Yes the owners have spent money behind the scenes to stabilise the club, but the 11 blokes on the pitch cost the same amount of money than 1 Callum Wilson is rumoured to be valued at. If anything they have proven that you dont have to spend hundreds of millions to get success.

Ignore wages? Ignore the fact the Thais have bought and disposed of players who are not in the current squad

Where do you think their wage bill would be then? I can garuntee it is lower than Newcastle and Villa who went down. Wes Morgan will be earning less than Joleon Lescott and Coloccini. Vardy will be earning less than Mitrovic and Scott Sinclair.

They are a bunch of players who have played well beyond themselves and as a club have not broken the bank in the quest for glory.

Teams Like City and Chlesea whn they had their cash injections broke the bank and required instant success for their stratergy to work, Leicester havent done that. If they had finish 18th this season they would still be at a sound financial standing for the future.

My earliest memory of Coventry City was when they won the old second division and getting promoted to top flight for the first time in their history. A few months later I got a Coventry kit for my 6th birthday, I guess I am just a glory hunter

For the year to May 2014 they made a loss of £20.8m, £34m for year to May 2013 and £29.7m for 2012 and £15.2m the year before. Who has covered those losses?

Not sure what your point is there, it doesnt relate to this season, as I said earlier if you read the thread "Yes the owners have spent money behind the scenes to stabilise the club", Im not disputing that, they went into administration, I am not talking about anything behind the scenes. What I am saying is that they have done something that has seemed impossible, they have assembled a squad by spending minimal fees on players and through good coaching, a strong work ethic, team unity and a little bit of luck they have pi$$ed the league by an absolute margin in the end.

Are you suggesting that Leicester have bought the title?

No, I am suggesting that Leicester's story didn't begin this season. They most certainly bought their way to be able to even compete in the Premier League.

LCFC are already in Coventry, they have junior Foxes doing coaching sessions at schools.

Hmm. It's going to go the way of rugby, isn't it, where the top flight clubs divvy up the geography of where they can scoop players up from...

I'd imagine Cov fans who detest anything to do with LCFC. would be like a red rag to a bull wouldn't it ?

Re the LCFC hopper , I wouldn't see him as a hero myself . I'd put him in the same category as those that went inside sixfields.

For someone who complains about the standard of debate on here... you don't half say some daft stuff.
