Maybe I’m just ever the optimist, having managed people understand that you don’t get the best out of them by go on about their weaknesses, or I’ve been around long enough to know this is far from the worst time to be a sky blues fan. But if in August I was offered last game at home it is in your hands to make the playoffs I’d would have taken it. The coaches we be working on each player’s weaknesses in a proactive manner to improve them, not slag them off.
Yes we could have had it all done and dusted by now. But for me whatever happens on Saturday I’ve enjoyed this season, peed off as anybody yesterday, more so than Monday, but in the cold light of day, we are better this season than last, and last season was another great season. We broke manure, they know that VAR gifted them and how bad have they been since? If we do do it, then next season will be sooooo tuff but I trust the people now running our club to do the right things to ensure we improve so when (if) we come back down, we are in a stronger position for the next promotion.

One thing the season has shown us, we need more squad depth than we originally believe, and a better main striker.
Whatever happens on the upcoming rollercoaster ride of a Saturday, the season has been enjoyable with great highs and lows, lots of shouting in joy and anger. Not good for us heart patients but you really do have to love being a Sky Blue fan.

I heard a fellow fan coming out of the ground saying that he'd sooner have another season enjoying games. chasing promotion than a season of getting our arses handed to us every week. I understood his sentiments exactly. The club needs the money, the fans want to enjoy their match days. That said, at some point you have to go up or eventually you will start to regress.

Bet you he’s the sort that moans like fuck when we lose yet doesn’t want us to go up. Why do people think we won’t enjoy it? Absolute madness. Playing against some of the biggest clubs in the world and Man United. Something I absolutely would love to see. Might lose most weeks but Ipswich seem to have had a great time.

I get some of the sentiment but a) used correctly the money could be a gamechanger and b) a lot of our younger support were there in lean times and deserve the chance to see us play the big guns.

We all know if we were to be promoted, that we would get batterd more often than we would win. But imagine watching the super stars of the premiership in a packed stadium , it would be fantastic for old & young fans .

I genuinely believe playing to stay up in the premier league would be just as fun as chasing promotion - and more rewarding.

Imagine being on the journey of Bournemouth, Brentford, Forest, Brighton, Wolves and even Leicester in recent years?!

I’m sorry, but even better than our rise through the EFL.

If we stayed up it would be an incredible achievement.

Edit - I think one potential down side might be we would lose the togetherness that the clubs fostered over the last few years.

I doubt t many premiership players would fancy a fans forum at the Bedworth Liberal club, (hopefully I'm wrong).
