I am going down early as have a mate down there so are doing the hospitality, meal etc.

He says at noon, on road parking about 400 yards away is easy.

(Sorry about making you go to Wimbledon)

To be honest there is plenty of street parking within a 5-15 minute walk away. It’s all I’ve ever done and it’s fine.

Dartford crossing has stopped taking money at the booths now. Payment has to be made by midnight the following day. Which can be paid online

I think I will be able to avoid it! It's a lot more expensive than it used to be!

You could of course go round the M25 anti-clockwise through Surrey and into Kent, but the extra petrol costs / time taken might negate any benefit from the saved toll charge.

Heading to the Will Adam's pub..looked on the map and it looks to be around a 20min walk..The whole area looks like Mosul on a good day, makes Bradford look like Eden.

Parking advice from my mate in Gillingham...

Head for Chicago Avenue ME7 2DW or Canadian Avenue ME72DR. Whatever, stay that side of the ground. Anything closer is permits only and on the other side anything nicer than an X reg Citroen Saxo get too much attention from the locals.
