How about someone who is serious approaching SISU in private about a sale rather than this nonsense we get via local media outlets.

That's how proper people get things done.

Red Bull do a complete rebrand, we'd play in their colours for example. That would limit the teams who would consider it.

My initial response would be no as we're sky blue but I guess it would only be a darker shade of blue. Don't think the FL would allow them to change the name of the team or add their name to the club crest.

As someone said previously.... their "sugar free" cans are sky bluish. In Germany they cannot call themselves "Red Bull" Leipzig - but, they get around it by calling themselves "Rasenball" Leipzig = RB Leipzig. Their mascot is a red bull, so no-one is any doubt as to who they are. Despite the negative points "franchise" etc., Red Bull do have a successful track record in sport. How far would a rebrand go? Calling the Ricoh "The Red Bull Stadium" wouldn't bother me. Changing the kit to Sky Blue with the Logo for Sugar Free Red Bull wouldn't bother me too much either. RB Coventry City would also be ok in return for becoming successful IMO. I wish we - ( in reality JS and TF ) - had talks to sound them out.

But who hates them most? The established teams in the Bundesliga. What about "Bayer" Leverkusen - basically a factory team, "Werkself", from the Bayer AG, Hanover and Wolfsburg - big money from VW, Hoffenheim - big money from SAP, and so on. Plenty of glasshouses there.

Completely agree - but they're seen as the axis of evil compared to the 50+1 model that the German's so love about their clubs.

They wouldn't get the same reaction here as every other club has some rich owner / company backing them.

We should attempt a RB Jaguar Sky Blue FC team - we'd be loaded!

But Jaguar Land Rover is in bed with Wasps. I think if they did come sniffing around, say, to sponsor the stadium naming rights as a first step, then Jaguar Land Rover would have to make a decision on the naming rights ( they are the most likely candidates ). I would like RB to come sniffing as at least someone else will maybe make a move as RB are known for getting involved in sports clubs.

Renting and sponsoring a stadium wasn't a problem for them in Leipzig as opposed to owning one.

By the way that was autocorrect when Sherman was quoted in my previous post - not a xenophobic term!

Spot the difference. 1. one has a good track record when involved with sport 2. the other 'knows nothing about soccer'.

If they seriously want an English club are we a bad shout? They'd have to sort out the stadium situation but how many other clubs have reached such a low that the fans wouldn't give them shit if they wanted to change the clubs colours or something like that.

Clearly there would be many hurdles to firstly overcome but if it did indeed go ahead I would imagine that a colour change would be made. Would we accept that?

Couldn't give a toss what we have as an away kit really, not like we haven't had some shockers before. So we're really talking about home kit and the change would be to a darker shade of blue, which we've also done before.

They wouldn't be allowed to change the name over here so really its just shirt colour. We're wearing bloody white now, I reckon I could put up with something like this if it meant there was a light at the end of the tunnel.
