According to a report in German magazine Sport Bild, FIFA and UEFA are pushing for a complete change to the football calendar.

The report claims that despite leagues like the Football League playing from August to May for the last one hundred and twenty years, FIFA boss Sepp Blatter and UEFA's Michel Platini think that all club football in the world should be played from March to October.

That would leave November vacant for international qualifiers and January and February for international tournaments.

The report says FIFA and UEFA would like to bring in the change by 2015.

I hate the idea of the World Cup not being in summer, it wouldn't feel the same
