Died today age 75. Now he was some striker! His record was phenomenal. terrific respect for the man. May he RIP.

I can only go off what my old man says and was certainly a giant of the game .

Sad for his family and for Germany

He played with the Keizer when we hammered them in the 2nd leg. (We lost 7-3 on agg)

One of the all time greats saw him at Highfield Road v Bayern Munich along other German superstars of the day

Enjoyed his yogurts but went off him when he sponsored the villa.

Watched him lose against the mighty Sky Blues in the seventies he wasn't pleased at that result and looked to be quite arsy hoofing the ball out at one point in frustration... great player though

That sort of put paid to McManus here if I remember correct he had a stinker in his next game v Arsenal and eventually moved on to have a decent career at Notts County plus one or two more.

Yeah it's a shame Bill Glazier wasn't in goal for the away leg, the aggregate score would have been a lot closer.
