Whatever happens from here on in I hope he enjoys a great career. His work ethic is really outstanding. George Thomas is a credit to our club and I wish him well.

I have to admit when last season started I couldn't see Thomas making it; he seemed off the pace and his contribution was negligible. However second half of the season what a turn around; longer run in the team, more confidence, looked fitter, beginning to score goals and his touch and positive contribution much improved. I was wrong about him and he became one of our better players.
His work rate impressed me as did his attitude both when things went his way and when they didn't. His goal at Wembley was as good as any.
I wouldn't be surprised if a mid table championship side came calling and if they did he would be silly not to go and try and make it at a higher level. I think all our fans would be disappointed but wish him well if he does move.

He was a completely different player, completely different shape when he came back.

He had worked hard in the time he wasn't playing and you could tell he was much fitter and more lean.

Really think young players need two full seasons before you can judge them. See so many writing off players that have made less than 30 pro appearances. It's a big jump to pro football.

CCFC have had a lot of Leicester born players in the Academy system who went on or have gone on to do well. Kirkland, Che Adams, Clarke-Harris and now Stevenson and Thomas. Also Tom Bayliss in 23s Leicester lad in same mould to Stevenson and 2 in 18s. On Thomas' future I'd be surprised if he's a Cov player in a few weeks time, he's been busy with Wales but think he has offers from better clubs.

Bigiriamma's agent has told us the problem here, apart from being in division 4 the wages here for a pro football club is pathetic, less than some non league outfits, George Thomas is a young player looking to earn as much as possible from what can be a very short career when you take possible injuries into account, he has to move on and he's good enough to.
Is he actually out of contract ? if so we get a pathetic fee way under value, another terrific piece of work from toxic Tim.

Actually, he was only talking about Bigi's wage and the offer made to him. According to people whp apparently know Bigi states the agent was upset as a lot of deal was bonus related such as appearance fee's etc, to me, coupled with the signings made it sounds like we may have wanted to keep Bigi, but not as much as perhaps Bigi wanted to stay.

£500k for someone who has played less than 50 games for us?! Deal.

That's if he shows an ounce of interest in leaving which I guess he will. If he wants to stay, great. If not, £500k is fair and a decent deal.

IMO it would be a good deal if we used some of that money for Collins or another goalscorer at League 2 level but I don't think we will

He also ran a few Maddison stories but can't remember him reporting on much else at CCFC. Stevenson, Maddison and Thomas are all with the same agency so perhaps he/the Guardian is getting stories from them

I think it's all but nailed on George will be leaving, MR has acted tho and got peter vincenti in already so all is not lost.

Let's hope we buck the trend and MR would be allowed to reinvest the fee for George.

500K is a steal for a player who realistically has only gained recognition for a solid 1/3 of a season. I'd take that in a heartbeat. We still have at least 4/5 positions to fill - this money would be invaluable to make that happen

Why would they be paying £500k when he's out of contract?
