Looks like Geroge applied to be Ghana national coach a few months back and didn’t get it. Quite the coup.

Although it says "First Team Coach".

What's going to happen about assistant manager?

Are these two the Viveash replacement or are we still bringing someone else in?

It says coaching structure is changing at the club. George is the more senior of the 2 1st team coaches having been assistant manager for Ghana. Who knows… but it doesn’t seem there will be an official assistant manager.

They just said "First Team Coaches" rather than assistant?

Ultimately we as fans know very little about how good coaches are and it’s hard to judge them by their CVs in the same way you might a manager or a player. If they’ve got the job then they must have been the best candidates during the recruitment process. Just have to trust that those in charge of recruitment know what they’re doing and there isn’t much reason to doubt that at the moment.

Interesting read and you can see how Rhys will fit in with his experience. He’s very highly rated and a coup.

This rings bells with the recent interview with Dr Claire Marie Robert’s. Didn’t she mention individual stats and coaching? Perhaps she is starting to shape the approach to things more and Viveash didn’t agree or something? Maybe Rhys will do more individual coaching plans?

Hope he thinks he can still improve us.. Sure I remember Strachan saying he knew he was off when he started speaking Dutch on his phone when Strachan was about
"I spent one season and a half there. I had signed a three-and-a-half year deal to develop and I planned to stay longer but I knew I'd left a Champions League team and that my level wasn't Coventry.

"I chose to play there to develop and with the dream of playing in the Premier League, maybe play at a lesser team every week and develop myself.

"I love challenges and the unknown, knowing what's out there - and if you look at my moves throughout my career, each of them were a challenge. I'd like to think I helped improve every team too - Coventry, Villa, Boro, even at Hull City."

Yep. I remember his debut at Anfield. Best player on the park.
Strachan played him wide the next season for some bizarre reason

Don't know anything about them as coaches (Boateng is one of my favourite ever players though) though it does sound like we're taking the hiring process seriously. However, I do wonder what might go on with the Gk coach, as we seem to turn all our keepers to shit the past few years.

Surprised at AV leaving - he seemed to be a perfect right hand man for Robins. Could be that he comes across as a bit old school and maybe wasn't as receptive of the new structure being put in place. Thanks for the last few years anf good luck for the future. Though on the plus side it does probably mean we won't be signing half of Chelsea's ex-youngsters anymore.
