Managers always do press conferences. You seriously think the club would stop giving post match conferences because of the questions being asked? We're not calling out for controversial, confrontational questions, just normal, everyday questions interviewers normally ask.

Geoff if your reading this SHAKE YOURSELF UP NOW. Your asking the same questions each week, it's boring.
If you want to gain respect in your industry and move through the BBC then start producing some more challenging questions and gaining a reputation for being an excellent interviewer who gets the most from the short time allowed. Dont let your career pass by sitting on the fence, that's not what interviewing is about.
