What, the players who are 'the best in the league' you mean?

The play offs have been a possibility but not very likely for the last 6 months. The fact we are going to fall short shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. I realise we were all a little over excited when we started to climb into the top half of the table but it was always an extremely difficult task. We are probably 3 players short of a promotion challenging team but as I have stated a few times during the season, if we didn't get promoted this season our squad would get worse not better next season.

Don't worry, he will be league 1 top scorer next year.

I said after the JPT defeat the season was over. You could see with our abysmal home form we were never going to get enough points to make the play offs. All people were talking about were other teams blowing up, yet we had been blowing up at home all season. Now people will think we will piss it next season because of what happened under Robins. It won't. The squad will lose its better players this summer as costs will need to be reduced again. The next manager will then be sacked Jan/Feb time as he cant polish a turd and take us into the top 6 by then.

How do i know this all??? Because the same has just about happened every year for the past 5 or 6 years.

But then you could see why we went this way.

How many times have we been hit on the counter attack? We therefore yesterday went for strengthening the midfield.

Quite a bit of sense in that thinking baring in mind what had kept on happening to us.

Lots of opinions that swing either way based on the latest result!

For goodness sake get a grip.

Yes of course we can make the playoffs. Looking at what fixtures are up and coming we still have a very good chance with 10 games to go yet!

The problem is not having a settled man in charge (not SISU's fault though is it?) and whether some players need a rest? Well we now have a fit Bell, have brought in a couple new players and we can freshen it up a bit easily.

Must be said though Swindon don't get much chance to freshen it up with a squad of 15 players that must also play week in week out.
No excuses if we want it bad enough we can make it still. It's one defeat to a top side, last week we beat a top side so settle down everyone.
Had we drawn both games we would be reasonably happy. Kick on over the next few fixtures and get 12 oints chalked up and the picture will look very rosey indeed.

Just wish we would play in the Brazil kit at home. That insipid Sky Blue is doing my head in and all that goes with it from the past. It drains the inspiration from me.

A lot of what you say is right, but it's four consecutive home defeats. This has got to be corrected or we have no chance of making playoffs, it's as simple as that!

I believed we cud stay up last season til it was mathmaticall impossible, thats exactly what im gonna do this season. Think about it. Tranmere, Bournouth, Wallsall and us are seperated by 7 points (or around that mark) and we all played the same amount of games. Walsall arent the bets team around and B'mouth and Tranmere are in bad form, so if we sort out our home form we can still do this, but changes are needed and Cars;ey needs to make subs much earlier

Agree. We then proceed to kick the ball up to a man with 2 huge defenders on him. Game over.

Carsley Team Talk

"Okay you wanke£s (Laughs). Defenders kick over the 5 in midfield to Clarkey. Defenders sometimes pass across the back a few times and then pass back to Murph for a big kick up field". "Murph, lets confuse them by always kicking to Bakey but not Clarkey". " If you want to vary it then put the ball into touch, (Group laugh)
"Midfield, If you happen to get the ball then always do a crossfield pass to either Sheffers or Bakey". "NEVER, I repeat, NEVER put your foot in or you may get injured and we will have to bring on Bellend" (Sniggers from all areas of the changing room). (David Bell never hears as he is wrapped in cotton wool)
"Defenders, NEVER pass back to Murph until you have worked out which foot he kicks with". "If its in the air always let it bounce once"
"Murphs, shots will always rein in from untracked players so try to remember what Oggy pointed to on his clipboard"
"Midfielders, ALWAYS get between the goal and the attacker (Whispers to Oggy " It is the opponents goal isn't it") (Oggy nods reassuringly, but consults his clipboard after)
"One last thing lads, if you get tired the new rules say I can't put you on until they score"
"Subs, make sure you keep warmed up. I will make sure you have cooled down by sitting on the bench in just your shirt whilst Oggy shows you Murphs tactics on his clipboard"
"AT MY SIGNAL, UNLEASH HELL"
"Oggy, Anything to add ?".
Oggy : "Oh yea, Sheffers, I've left your fags on the bus"

"We will make the play-offs" Err I take that back as I am now not sure we stand any realistic chance as we are just not consistant enough when it comes to winning games when it really matters!
Plus the lift I was given has just been deflated.

I'd be amazed if we get to the play-offs. Getting rid of SISU now has to be the priority.

We can't until we get a satisfactory rent agreement with CCFC earning 100% revenue streams to make us a bit more attractive, people like CJ will say getting rid of SISU is a priority, well, what madman/men/women would want to buy into CCFC? We're not profitable and that is why billionaires like Alki David turned their nose up at us.

Doesn't help that our 'supporters' have abandoned their club to support a quango that needs propping up by the local authorities and by fleecing the club.

Hey I'm deranged for supporting CCFC in this debacle.

Mathematically ..Of cause, but unlikely now, our catastrophic home results, which still continue, have made the task virtually beyond us, and without Mark Robins input I shudder to think where we would be, probably in another relegation Battle I would think.I don't agree with Willie when he say's we deserve to be in the play offs, but the amazing Fans certainly do, the away following has been Fantastic this season,But we've done far to little at the Ricoh in terms of results to entitle us to a play off place....."Just my H.O...

Top 10 at best. Even Otis and his 14th prediction is looking more likely than the play offs.
