But 10 years ago it was a Scottish pm and a Labour govt. parts of Scotland even voted conservatives into seats after Blair/brown.

The way it works is actually the Euro vs the pound (EUR/GBP). So if you were to look at a chart, at the moment the Euro is trading lower against Sterling.

Just looked at a few of the Greater Manchester constituencies and they're all looking like Labour holds, likewise Leeds and Liverpool, Birmingham. It just looks like Labour's support gets further concentrated in cities
