Bloomin eck a little sensitive aren’t you? I didn’t call an election in December when the weather is bad cold and wet. Course they have every right just hope they don’t manage to as most will vote conservative

I think a bit of rain is more likely to put off the oh so precious youth who are likely to worry about getting their I Phone wet

Does help to be fair when you’re retired and have nothing to do all day.

Perhaps Pete can hang around polling booths and start stealing their walking frames so they don’t get there before it shuts

Yes it will in the sense we have left the EU as members - the only differences between this and a hard brexit is the negotiation of the future relationship post Brexit occurs on a formal time plan

They won't get out of bed before midday and then they'll have to check all their messages and how many "likes" they get.
We're talking late afternoon before they can get out and it'll be dark by then.

I have just been talking to one of my mum's carers. I would say she is around 20-22ish. Would be described as working class, average intelligence.

I just asked her if her polling booth was close to her house and she said she had no idea.

Didn't know who Boris Johnson was, or what any of parties stood for, or who they were. Wasn't voting.

I wonder how many there are out there like her.

I would think loads, Otis. My kids are all voting today and they haven't a clue. They don't watch politics on telly. Two of them have TV only on demand and never ever watch the news. For them it's mainly Netflix. One of them asked last night " What's happened in New Zealand?"
As for newspapers, what are they ?

Love that it’s ok to take the piss out of the younger generations but hoping a few Tory voters won’t manage to fight the wind and the rain is nasty ffs

I jest a bit about them getting out of bed, but let's face it were any of us interested in the slightest in politics when we were young? Now there are far more distractions.
This is why I have no idea what possesses anyone to think 16 year olds should be given the vote.

Also Otis, I suppose some people spend all day working and simply are not inclined to bother with it. They want to eat, watch a bit of light entertainment etc and go to bed. Who can blame them ?
