Brexit won't be done though, that's the point. It's going to take at least another year. All he would be doing would be confirming the vote.

Still think the same as I said when the election was called. After wasting weeks we'll end up back where we started. Johnson will be PM with a small, potentially unworkable, majority. Problem now will be he's burnt his bridges with pretty much everyone so getting non-Conservative MPs to support him should he need their votes in parliament could prove very difficult.

The polls however are now at a point where we're into the margin of error that could see Corbyn as PM of a minority government. Can't see that happening personally.

Looking more at the MPR data released last night it seems like they are still assuming demographics and turnout based on 2015. That could prove to be flawed if there's a similar turnout among younger voters, if that is the case it is likely to heavily favour Labour.

Still a lot to play for and plenty of time for one side or the other to make a colossal fuck up.

What is your take on reports that it is actually impossible to get Brexit done on the timescale Johnson is promising even if every vote and negotiation sails through in his favour?

There's also reports that he only got the deal he put to the vote in parliament by immediately backing down on one of the red lines, ie the border issue, and that the only way he will get Brexit through is to back down on other red lines?

I think it will be a hung parliament... I’ve said that from the start. Because of Labour’s legacy in Scotland getting an outright majority is much harder for them. But they don’t need to.... the can form a progressive pact with SNP, PC, Green who generally share a lot of common values.

From what I've heard Labour has posted their campaign leaflets out in Glasgow by Royal Mail.

Must of cost them loads. Does leave you to think where is the support on the ground.

No fact checked by full fact a “charity” that has been frequently shown to be grotesquely biased in particular against non Eu campaigns

Do you really think there will be a meltdown? From day one everyone has predicted a Conservative majority. The only surprise looks likely to be how small the majority is considering how strongly they were polling when Johnson decided to call an election.

I've been stuck in traffic jams every day on my commute along the 20mile section of M20 over the last year and 2 months because of completely pointless Brexit contraflow system for Operation Stack. It's for when Dover grinds to a bureaucratic standstill due to Brexit Fuckwits and Tory's. Many small business operators down here in East Kent are livid.

Conservatives now claiming Johnson wasn’t hiding in the fridge, he was in there preparing for an interview.

Do they really expect anyone to believe this shit?

You guys are incredible.

I was agreeing the point, but provided some balance - so you have to have a bit of a go. You cannot stop yourselves.

It is the very same kind of frothing & ranting that people associate with Scargill, Hatton & co which most reasonable people think of as just spoiling for a fight...&/or brings back memories of some pretty bad times. Like BSB (who is one of 'you guys' thst I refer to) has a pop, accuses me of throwing insults about only to then not only bring Astute into the matter, but insults him as well, as ameans to use him to me. That after he has repeatedly offered the oh-so politically correct description of 'fatso'. All very bizarre isn't it?

For the record...during this campaign, Corbyn for one in the Labour ranks HAS been said to be lying -
Former senior Labour official accuses party of 'campaign of lies and misinformation' about antisemitism

And he didn't feel any need to apologise for it either in his Andrew Neil interview.

Labour has played right close to the line on NHS privatisation too in many people's eyes.

Even Angela Rayner has defended his watching the Queen on Xmas morning as an 'unintentional lie'

So THAT is some of the balance for you. I am already aware of the fact checking...& do not wish or seek to deflect or excuse Bojo or the Tories for their lies either.

All pretty equally as bad as each other overall.

What will be interesting come result time and definitely worth noting will be the assumed Labour losses and the correlation between some former Labour MPs and the internal struggles of Labour.

I think this will show the self-interest that has done a lot of damage to Labour.
