Fully educated, you're having a laugh. What you're espousing here is yet another version of the Great Replacement theory.

It's racist bunkum of the highest order. The biggest threat to society is scared fuckwits who have to hang onto bullshit like this to justify pathetic, cowardly, bullying behaviour.

Fucking patriots my arse, just a bunch of chickenshit knobs who fancy a pissed-up ruck with the coppers when the numbers are on their side and crawl back under their rocks and cry when it's going against them.

Enough of this racist bollocks, and stop wrapping yourself in my flag as some sort of pathetic justification for shit behaviour.

The problem is, if someone's been radicalised, or if they hold hardline views, (and this applies to any community), why are they going to listen to someone that's moderate?

The irony is that while everybody is kicking off in Southport at mosques with absolutely nothing to do with things and aimlessly shouting at police, this sort of stuff has gone under the radar in the last couple of days.

Sentences of almost 400 years for Non Recent Sexual Abuse in Kirklees

Wednesday 31 July 2024Twenty eight sexual predators who preyed on vulnerable females in Kirklees have been given jail sentences totalling almost 400 years. A further two men were sentenced at Leeds Crown Court today (July 31) as part of Kirklees Police’s long running Operation Tourway...

I agree.

The point being there are people turning up at random mosques, abusing coppers, getting pissed up at a vigil for poor kids murdered but this stuff goes under the radar.

I know it's not directly related to the original post in the thread but it's more relevant than the Southport one.

There seems to be some detail missing. It says 28 men have been given a total of 400 years, that's an average of over 14 years but then it names 2 additional people who committed horrific crimes and got 6 and 10 years. How did they get less than the others?

Also says 'sentenced in their absence', have they done a runner and can't be found?

There are huge issues on both sides of the equation tbh, radicalised Islamists & radicalised British white ( well, mainly white) people being manipulated by far right groups.
I was listening to a bloke from "hope not hate " on News night last night ,he summed things up really well..

Misplaced anger I think maybe?

The last 3 or 4 years haven't been shite, I'd imagine a lot of this is fuelled by inequality.

That and the hot weather always brings the nutters out!

There's a video of an Imam from a Mosque in Liverpool (I think) who has put a video out about the planned protests.

He has said that the mosque will be giving out cold drinks and food to the protestors and invites people in to have a chat and is willing to listen to all of their concerns and chat about it.

Amazing stuff! Over to the knuckle draggers who just want to shout and kick off. Discussion is what it is all about if people really are bothered about change.

I hope if anybody starts kicking off (strangely at a random mosque with nothing to do with anything going on) then they get dealt with.

I think a few members of the forum are in the teaching profession I wonder if this is just a very local phenomenon?.

In Sunderland they're looting for Tommy now. The sacrifices his followers will put themselves through.

We're so lucky we've got people out there with such huge moral courage - stealing and smashing stuff up for God and Country. So proud.

I haven't seen much of what's happened later on but if it's people kicking off and singing his name like he has just scored the winning goal, it's fucking embarrassing.

I get that people have issues, I get that people are fed up. Setting fire to a police station, singing his name while he sits by the pool is doing absolutely fuck all but making things worse.

What exactly were those in Sunderland protesting about last night? Certainly wasn't about the deaths of those poor innocent girls. They're exploiting their murder as an excuse to smash and burn their communities. Why target mosques? What has that got to do with Southport?

Fascists are travelling from other towns to participate. Groups all around the country are being mobilised, told to cover up: no faces, no cases.

I genuinely do worry how the police are going to cope with such widespread disorder.

I cannot imagine how the parents of those girls are feeling watching all this kicking off in response to their tragedy.

I remember the riots of 1981, which are still talked about to this day. I can vividly remember Toxteth, Brixton and the New Cross tragedy and feeling like the world was going to end, I was 15 back then. I worry 2024 is going down a similar path and hope a way can be found to disfuse the anger that some feel.

This needs discussing, but no longer in the Southport thread, that has gone way off the original topic; my fault as much as anyone's.

I think its that People dont think that they’re being listened to by governments.
Pretty much the same as to 80s riots.
The difference is that its white people not being listened to now instead of the black and ethnic minorities as it was in 1981.
Like it or not, immigration is a massive issue at the moment and Starmer saying he would give an amnesty to the current backlog certainly doesn’t help the matter. Nor does labelling anyone speaking out about it as a right wing nazi.
Anything where an immigrant or perceived immigrant is responsible for is giving people a reason to protest rightly or wrongly.
I genuinely dont think people want to attack the police per se its more the establishment and government that they think that they’re attacking.

This is largely a far right 'football hooligan' phenomenon. Fascist and far right groups and ideology infiltrating football firms and their associates and leading them like sheep where they want- attacking Muslims who have lived quietly and peacefully in these communities for years on end.
At the moment they feel strength from the numbers gathering at Yaxley-Lennon demos. I suspect that will drop when the first sentences of several years in prison for attacking the police come in.
I'm sure football grounds will see pro 'Tommy' chants and I hope the brainless sheep get loudly booed.

It's how it works though.
Take a demographic you disagree with, find examples of the very worse of that demographic, tar all the others with the same brush.

Everyone does it but the far right moaning about it is the biggest red neck going, it's been their modus operandi for ever.

Helps get publicity for his crowd funders which lets face it is what this is always about.

Get arrested for a technicality he knows he will get arrested for (specifically breaking conditions around a previous charge), say he’s done nothing and bleed his follows for cash while spreading the political messages of his paymasters. It’s been lucrative for him for years now.

The black and Asian communities of the 80s were angered by facing racial discrimination by institutions of power in this country, if not also by wider society.

I’m sorry, if your problem is ‘too many people who aren’t white’, how is that comparable? Genuinely? The far right have always been trying to convince white working class people that foreigners are why they don’t have a better life. It’s an easier answer to give than the problem having started with Maggie Thatcher destroying British industry and continued by her successors both Labour and Tory to the point that large swathes of the country were left forgotten about.

Don’t see how Thatcher destroyed British industry. She pored money down the drown trying to prop up failing nationalised industries.

This is a perfect example of what he is talking about.

This thread is completely pointless. There will be no attempt to listen to what the complaints are we will just be told that there's nothing to complain about it's all just the FAR RIGHT scum lying and agitating people for no reason at all other than that they are racist.

Meanwhile Kier will be seeing how he can strengthen hate speech laws to make sure those racists don't open their mouths in future.

I'm not sure why even asking the question because there's no interest in opposing views.

People going out and aimlessly smashing things up, kicking off with police and acting like cunts are... Cunts.

There's plenty of people who are worried about things going on that aren't out with a can of Stella looking for an excuse to act like a bellend.

The quickness to label people as "far right thugs" for having issues and concerns isn't much different to the people labelling all Muslims as terrorists.

Starmer should be on the phone to the imam in Liverpool for some tips on how to speak.

I didn’t say you agreed with it, but I disagree that the reasons are in any way comparable.

The far right for a long time have tried convincing people that it’s immigration holding them back from better lives and if it simply stopped then everything would get better. When the truth, which is more difficult to swallow, is that successive governments from the 80s onwards oversaw large swathes of the country losing long established industries with nothing to replace them. So these areas were allowed to decay and go forgotten about.

Be annoyed at the government, absolutely, but violently harassing immigrants won’t change a thing.
