I'd take 12 from him now, simply because Murphy will chip in with the other 8....

Good to see a reasoned poster.

No doubt someone will come along soon to call you a slagging off wanker!

No Chipfat we are not desperate, just giving some sort of praise and encouragement to our squad which implies we do indeed have some players better than in other team's squads - its a free press !!!.

Bell needs to get his act together. McShufty too. Both tend to put in one excellent performance every 4-5 games and then disappear and that simply isn't good enough. We need more Cranie type consistency from a few players this season to enable anything like a good year.

Cranie tends to be consistent, Keogh, Wood and Juke too, but Bell, Sheff and Baker are all over the place. Clingan has a tendency to disappear out of games too. Hope AT will kick a few arses!

He could score 20+ goals if he was in a Subutteo Team!

I see no reason why McSheffrey will not get us at least 7 or 8 goals this season.

I am sure Sheff will be responsible for 20 goals this season, probably score 11 or 12 and give away 8 or 9 by not tracking back, not tackling, not working and generally doing an Eastwood. Hopefully at the tip of the diamond we will be shielded from his defensive cock ups a bit.

I dont think he'll score anything like 20, but I think thats harsh mate. He is lazy at working back but has some quality imo.

There is more chance of GM staying fit all season than scoring 20 goals this season. How many think he will stay fit?

He could get 20 goals. If he gets close to 10 by xmas and Fester get injuries up front they could waste some more money buying him. They know he went to a scum team before so would think they had a chance of getting him.

If he takes pens he might get 15-20 in a good season. I'd rather Jutkiewicz took the pens though, I feel it'd do him more good.

From outfield 5-10 would be a decent return. I also expect Turner to chip in with a few this season, and it'd be nice to see Clingan score a couple of freekicks.

This.

McSheffrey is perfect at the tip of the diamond as his movement is his best attribute. Keep him fit and we'll be ok this season IMO.

Let us look at the logistics - GM has only to score 2 goals every 5 games which is almost equivalent to 20 goals per season and with the odd pen here and there, JOB DONE !!!

Gotta love the optimism but cant see it myself although i do think he'll hit double figures around 10/11 mark hopefully gotta agree with the tracking back comment though like alot of our player they just seem like they cant be bothered sometimes keogh one of the worst culprits when playing RB good running the wing but seemed to rely others too much when he couldnt be bothered to track back much better in CB imo

If McSheffery scores more than 20 goals in open play this season I'll swim naked across the Solent and then hitch a ride to the Ricoh and stand stark bollock naked in the centre circle waving at the crowd!
