Went to Yeovil in corporate area. Gary Johnson was interviewed prior to kick-off.

Very impressed. Spoke with knowledge and authority of league 1.

When asked about squad size (Yeovil having approx 10 players less in their squad)' he replied that "we have focused on quality not quantity" which was interesting.

Appreciate that he has a project ongoing at Yeovil, but in my opinion, worth an approach.

He was my first choice before Adams and Dowie and Coleman and Boothroyd.

He won't come to us though.

Does great at Yeovil. Seems to be a special club for him. Can't see him leaving.

Appreciate all the sentiments and tend to agree.

But, if you don't ask, you don't get.

Depends how serious the Board are in their search for the right man.

Compensation and all.

Too smart to come here. Yeovil were tipped to go down yet are 2nd in the table. Why leave to come to our madhouse?

We won't pay compensation to another club to bring in any manager.

Whoever we get in will be out of work at the moment.

I doubt he'd want to leave for a smaller club to be honest!

He has turned us down before. It's a non starter, he won't leave Yeovil so soon after rejoining them.

No it's not. So is Chris Wilder and Dickov and we have certainly been looking at both ( despite what they have said in the press )

Ruling employed managers out because they'd require compensation paid isn't a definite, considering we paid to sign Adam Barton and it's fair to say the choice of next manager has a lot more importance than the right side of a midfield diamond.

As for Johnson, he'd be an inspired choice but he looks to be doing something very good at Yeovil so I think it'd need someone better than us to come calling before he turns his head.

Would definately like him and is my first choice. I do not expect him to want to come to us based on the many negatives surrounding our club.
