CT or Telegraph?

Not the experienced player AT had intended but I'm sure he'd take anyone at this late stage. Goalscoring being the key.

Is Thorn having a laugh? We have the best academy in the country yet he's bring in a teenager from another club.

Sorry but this is a joke.

Why? Top of the league beating Villa 2 0 the other week. As everyone keeps saying on here league table don't lie regardless at what level.

bringing another teenager in to this team is the wrong move especially from another club

With regard to academy, we're top of our group, not top of everyone in the country.

Gardner is decent, pretty happy with that even if it's not experience as I'd hoped.

Gardner is a great player, came on as sub for England U21 with 10 minutes left and scored 2 crackers. This lad is a top prospect. Hope it happens.

At present we have one of the best academy's in the country. It shows with how well our youngsters have done in the first team and without them were still top of the league.

One thing for you to answer. Thorn keeps saying this team is too young. So what does he do? Brings in a teenager who don't have any first team experience into a losing team. That's going to do our confidence no end of good. Where was this experienced player thorn said last week we were bringing in? That's it, not happening. Thorn tells us what we want to hear.

Pointless loan in my eyes.

In our current predicament it's not prospects we need, it's experience heads.

But if we can't get experience because we've been priced out of the market, then this is exactly what we need! Don't moan about loans and then moan when its not the kind you thought it would be! Any competent addition will be of use when we have a squad this size.

Gardner is already good enough for our division, I meant that he is a great prospect for The Premiership. The lad is a goal-scoring midfielder, brother of Craig, but bigger and stronger. Despite our successful academy, we have not produced anybody of this type of player. I hope that we get him for longer than a month. Thorn has to toe the line to the media and to us fans.

hmm a youngster eh? shall we expect comments about how tired he is and how he's playing too many games

to be fair I'd give Kevin Drinkell a go at the moment so its better than nowt

I'm sure he probably set out to bring in experience but if he couldn't get any then an England u21 is better than nothing.

And anyway a few days ago people were moaning that Michael Brown is too old and past it...

Fans have been saying that Thorn side is too young and Thorn has admitted that so then he brings in a teenager with no experience. We're a sinking ship which in my eyes needs a old guard player to shore things up. Not a 'prospect' with no experience.

Agree we Need players but I feel another youngster thrown in the deep end is not the answer

True but I just feel this is a cheap option and doing it for the sake of it.

Hopefully he does do the business for us but I feel another youngster added to a side struggling is not the way forward.

If he's as good as people are making out then he might do the job but I fear he'll need a few games to settle and by then he'll be back at the villa.

The CT headline says he has signed and in the body of the report it says he is due to sign today at Ryton.

Absolutely nothing can go wrong...

“I am delighted to get him,” said Thorn of the player, who was due at Ryton this morning to complete an initial one-month loan that will take him to January 3.

Whilst I admit he's untried at the level, much prefer this prospect than Michael Brown winding his career down.

I'll give you a reality check mate.

We already have the youngest side in the league. We are desperate for a experience player. Thorn last week said that experience player will be here early next week.

We end up with a unproven 'prospect' with no experience. Bigi can do a similar role if given the chance. By all accounts were holding back Bigi going forward more, he had skill, pace and a great shot on him.

Why help nurture villa players when we have similar anyway?

Any new player coming in is a lift! As mentioned he has experience at England under 21, so that puts him slightly above our Youth side. To be fair a villa England under 21 reserve, is still better than the likes of Jeffries etc IMO.

We have to get what we can. Can't understand people slating Thorn......what do you expect? "AT, he's shit i wanted an old experienced Pro" lol
