The lad is world class. Incredible during his brief performance yesterday. Get him on a 5-year deal ASAP

I think he just needs a run of games as a starter
I don't think he suits cameos

Exactly, matesx! JEEEEZ!!!
He is 22, clearly is talented, has huge potential and is passionate about the club.
Get off his f*cking back, give the lad some support and maybe the game against Oldham away where he bossed it and was the best player on the park might happen more often.
People slagging off a young lad, destroying his confidence hoping to go 'told you so' if he fails is not only counter productive, it is hypocritical and pathetic.
Good luck Gael. PUSB

Absolutely, tho he may court differing opinions as to his suitability for inclusion within the match day squad, the kid ain't ready just yet to be thrown onto that scrapheap of offering sartorial advise to the sensational '80's 'word up' group.

Comes on as sub, passes the ball out on his first touch, then runs into his own player.

Nothing has changed at all since that game against Leicester, clueless headless chicken.

He was shocking yesterday. I'm not sure hes going to get the run of starts he needs to develop. He needed to go somewhere where he was going to be first choice week in week out.

I assume the OP is on the wind up

Was Stevenson injured or just left out the squad yesterday?

Slight knock I believe. Shouldn't be out too long.

Someone's on the wind up.

A young lad, who we sold for 7 figures, comes back to us on a free and still early 20's.

Lets support him and who knows how he might do,

Don't be silly boo every touch count misplaced passes call him every name you can think of them when he doesn't get to a ball played at100mph thirty yards in front of him call him a lazy crap twat. That's much more fun. After all destroying players is worth twenty odd quid

Maybe Sisu are thinking we sold him for a £1m to a Premiership club a few years ago...now we have him back on a free. If he can play some half decent football again then we could sell him back to Newcastle when they get promoted for £1m again.

£2m over the years. Easy money. Circa £2m fund for Joy to buy a new Fiat 500, Tim will buy some beard oil and Mr Anderson will buy some more gagging tape to continue his vow of silence...

Exactly, people say it's less about results but having players who care, here is one, who clearly has promise and given time could realise it. It's hardly like signing him on a free is keeping a world beater on the bench is it

A couple of his passes were very good yesterday and players went to make the runs and stopped/hesitated resulting in the ball going out of play. Looked like they were misplaced when in reality he was let down by his teammates. There were some that were misplaced but he wasnt the only one to do it. Willis in the first half passed to the opposition at least 5 times.

What have we done, signed him on a permanent for free? Or on loan for a season?

Also, any idea on wages per week if it's a perm deal?

Thought he was poor yesterday but he has the ability so maybe a few games in the reserves or under 21s to get up to speed. Not anyway near first team standard but more games etc will see him firing again on all cylinders.

I actually thought he was good against Leicester in his first game, imo he started that season well then had his confidence destroyed.

Last season he was generally poor, but bloody hell people do hate on this lad.

Why are our fans so fickle, if he had scored one of those two long rage efforts he would be a hero?
I agree some of his passes were not great but let's accept we are not a great team.

Let's get behind EVERY player who has the shirt on, just look at how well Haynes played against Portsmouth as the crowd backed him. Good or bad let's support TM and lads who are on the pitch.

He will come good.
Unless people get on his back.
A couple of passes would have been top class if the players had not hesitated but that comes with training as a team.

As you can see in this thread, everyone clearly knows the lad isn't good enough, nearly all of you are hoping he becomes good enough. He's not shown anything to have that hope you all have for him.
