I know when he joined Newcastle he was on ~£7k per week if he didn't play (1st team), ~£15k per week if he did. I'm assuming he's still on that sort of money, so fortunately I don't think we really have much of a chance.
It wouldn't matter how many games he played - he is now in the championship and they still don't want him - also it seems no bids have come in which is odd of he is such a special talent who just needs a few games under his belt.

I think that was quite widely reported at the time and as the season went on. A different manager and we wouldn't have loaned some of the players we did.
