Nice to see a brave post on the site.

He is indeed a good prospect but we do fall in love far too quickly as City fans and given the complete lack of hope over the years it is hardly surprising.

The thread was so pointless it created 4 pages of debate. Good stuff.

Unfortunately if he does turn out to be as good as some think it will be another forum that will be debating him

It'd also be nice for him to have someone nippy to slide the ball into every once a while.

Bigi seems to be on a very tight leash. Keeping it simple. Playing to instructions. If he gets confident he looks to be a player that can push forward around the box and be a threat. That will come with games. He's 18 very soon. Of course still very young, but look at lots of other clubs, many play 18 year olds and they do well. Why not Bigi?
Yes we have been starved of any good news, so we cling on to any ray of sunshine.

He is a good prospect nothing more at this stage! I was thinking something similar when people are praising him, he has the ability to become good potentially great but its way too early to establish that.

I believe players who have genuine ability stand out from the crowd no matter what age or disposition.

The scale of Gael's ability has been noticed and appreciated by the vast majority of CCFC fans, media and pundits in just four games - they cannot all be wrong !!!

I have watched hundreds of players come through the ranks at CCFC whether as transfers in or through the Academy route over the past 40+ seasons (yes I am an old git) and this lad makes fans sit up and take notice and that is the defining moment not awarded to the majority of players.

There is a buzz of expectation and anticipation when he receives the ball and this potential and precocious talent will be come even more apparant with experience, maturity and AT's mentoring.

The thing that I fear is that I cant see a natural position for him in the "Thorn diamond". It appears from the few games we've seen of him that he wants to be the holding player, currently occupied by clingan and can't see that changing.

Agree with Harvey, Gaels natural position is where Clingan is playing, AT has realised this though, and against Brum and Watford we have played a 4-2-3-1 formation at times with Gael and Sammy as the two.
