I enjoyed it but also felt incredibly sad for Bigi. Where did it all go wrong?

How to blow smoke up someones arse for 2 hours.
Didn’t ask him about Rangers or Motherwell and what happened up there-just yes Bigi, no Bigi, we love you Bigi. :emoji_weary:
Nice fella, all the best to him but gives me sleepless nights when people are “hoping the phone call comes”.

Haven't listened tbh. Probably will do, same with grimmer and big Tom D if only to relive the play off era.

Let's have it right though, Kelly may have been off form for the past 1.5 months we played but first half of season and second half of last season unreal. Captain, leader and anchor of our team.

Kelly’s return to the first XI in league two turned our season. His performance in League One convinced Robins to let go Michael Doyle. And even this year his absence in the autumn coincided with a downturn in form and our only loss of the season at St Andrews

That’s generous, putting Bigi in the same sentence as Kelly is a bit of an insult in itself.

I never really get the bad agent thing. He was never a league standard footballer so utilised initial hype and cashed in. He was never going to last as a league player.

If Haynes had had a similar experience he could have cashed in as well but he will end up the same way but without the cash

If Gary Deegan can have a career in the lower leagues, there's no reason why Bigi shouldn't.

Why would I as a Coventry fan, give a single shite about Bigi's time at Motherwell or Rangers?

Because it was probably a bit more productive than the dirge he dished out on the pitch for us.

You said about Maddison that we did very little in his development and it was down to Norwich and now Leicester who pushed him on to become the player he is. Is this the same for Bigirimana who also left to a Premier League club that the fault comes with Newcastle?

We get you don't rate him, mosrt people who have watched him won't think he's up to our level. They aren't gonna get him on a Coventry City Podcast, call him shite and ask about his time at Motherwell though are they?

I really don't get the unbridled hatred some of our fans have towards him. He isn't good enough to play for us right now, but he isn't playing for us, so what's the problem?

He was a promising player when he first came into our team in the Championship as a 17 year old, which is why Newcastle signed him. He like many others didn't live up to that promise. He then came back to us when our team was at an all time low, but wasn't good enough to effect an improvement in our fortunes. Others were far more culpable in that failure though. He always tried and did score for us at Wembley, on a day which psychologically helped the club turn things round.

He might have been ok if he had stayed in league 2, we will never know, but him going elsewhere led to Robins bringing in the Doyle/ Kelly combination to see us through our year in League 2, and which was a major contributory factor to our success that season. I'll agree at times his agent does not seem to have been a great help in his career, but as a young African refugee kid, you can hardly blame him for following the advice given him.

They were blowing smoke up his arse because as we know people thrive off the sob story behind it.
If you listen to the Chris Stokes episode which was a week beforehand, it was much more fair and balanced.

That’s fair. Or maybe took a punt and soon realised that despite the coaching at a higher level he wasn’t up to it which turned out to be the case.
