Bigi always had the potential but the move to n'castle came wrong time. Clearly it didn't work out there for various reasons but back where he began and clearly a confidence player. He is a different player last year for the better and maturing into a very good player. Clearly marriage and becoming a father has made him a man playing a mans game.

Yeah bad timing.
Isn't it incredibly vain though for some fans/posters to suggest that the Newcastle scouts who saw something in him were wrong and they know better. Those scouts are not infallible of course but to suggest you are a better student of the game from a seat in the stand is arrogant indeed.

But according to don anyone could see his talent.

Then again you said Joe Cole was the signing of last season so I won't be holding my breath on this on MLCP.

Anyone could see Bigi's talent it was obvious on his debut.

Just like Baker's talent.
Maddison's
Stephenson's
Christie's
Fleck's.

Some players just have that class about them. Mentally he wasn't mature enough for the move to Newcastle

One person gave the poor lad far too much flack on here.
That person is also not man enough like a lot of others are to say fair cop I got it wrong, he is a good player.
Grendel would rather see Bigi screw up than admit he is wrong.
It's quite funny. Shame is Bigi will have some off days, everyone does and Grendel will be giving him shit on here again.

The fact you are lumping bigi as up there in the talent stakes with Carl baker is hardly a compliment is it?

Actually many posters are far harsher on him than me but anyway;

Are you man enough to admit I was 100% right about that useless lump of lard Andy thorn?

How about that useless bag of shite McDonald?

Actually no - let's just start with old thorny.

Already said it about Thorn. He went to another club and failed.

So come on then your turn

It's easy I will help you all you need to say is....

"my name is Grendel and when I said Bigi is crap and would be a bit part player for us at most. That he will be playing non league football within 2 years. That he can't improve by getting a run of games. I was completely wrong"

My dog could have told you that bringing in the chief scout as manager might not work.
At least we got behind him at the start in blind loyalty to the club.

I'll hold my hands up and say I was sceptical when he re-signed and thought he would just be a squad player but he has proved me wrong so far. Good on him, I've always loved his attitude and if any player deserves to be successful, its him.

signings like bigi are why i was happy with our summer for the most part. note i said most part. obviously lack of reda replacement is big.

but rest of squad pretty good. cant wait to see us rise up the table!

A lot of pot calling kettle black on this thread.

Pretty much the entire forum was slating Bigi during his stint last season and the beginning of this season. I reckon it was only myself and 1 or 2 others that have kept faith in Bigi ever since he first played for Coventry back in the Championship. Knew he was a quality player back then, knew he was still a quality player last season during his time here and know he is still a quality player now.

I think what the OP is saying is true, if you could not (and still cannot) see the quality this lad oozes, even last season, compared to the terrible standard in this league, you honestly know nothing about football.

No but by your reasoning I also assume that those that won't commit he will be at a higher level are also talking nonsense and won't admit?

Whats that got to do with you saying he will be non-league in 2 years? And if you stand by your judgement and you like to offer bets for what people say, why dont you put your money where your mouth is? Surely you cannot lose.

Do you think he is now at a level
He can compete at or do you believe he is better than league one?

No one can say.
He is playing at this level at the moment and looks to be one of the best at the moment.
So being top at the moment means if he can't make it then I suppose none of the others can ether.
struggled in the prem but hey maybe that was one step too high at that time.
So it should be let's hope he can keep it up as we need him right now......PUSB

My nominated charity for the bet, of the amount you would like to wager, is sky blues in the community. So when you lose you win too, your money will go towards finding the next bigi. Hows that sound?

You say he will be a non league player within two years. I say he won't go that low. So how about a bet with me on if he is still a league player or non league player.

Be generous. We can make it a big bet as you are so sure. And when I win I will donate it to charity like last time. You would have 2 years to save up on the massive wage that you say you are on.

I have never ripped into him. I have never said he is shit.

He has not had an easy life. It looks like he needs a solid base to be happy. And when he is happy he plays well. When he went to Newcastle his steady life changed. When he came back on loan it took a while to settle again. Then he started to get better. He has now settled down. Happiest he has ever been. And would even go as far to say playing his best football.

Which league do you think he will be in? It's funny you keep saying how great he is but haven't the balls to take my original bet. Tell you what / if next season he's above league one I'll give you £50 to your charity and if I win you give mine £25 Now that's a steal given all the likes your throwing around.

I think he will stay with us if he can. He doesn't need the money. And he loves Coventry. I don't think that we will get promoted after our bad start. So I think he will be where he is now. So why would I bet against what I think just because you say so when it was you saying that he is non league quality and will be at that level in less than 2 years?
