Not sure when exactly this happened in the game, but Furlong's targeting of EMC definitely effected the game, as we were never able to use him as an attacking outlet because he was concentrating more on the physical challenge presented by Furlong rather than the footballing challenge.

We've won nearly every game this season and have been critical of refs after many of them.

The standard this year is atrocious.

And couldn't givea flying fuck what other supporters think personally.

They’ve been awful. I’d say this is true with the exception of one or two occasions.
Tbf, on here at least, they’ve been called out for being shit when we’ve benefitted from their decisions.

Hopefully we’ll have VAR next year which will solve all these problems…

Not a fan of VAR to be honest but if we go up it's obviously going to be something we see in action every week.

Aye. Me neither. Tbh I think it’ll be shit (if we do go up).
My Man City season ticket holding mate, reckons it’s ruined goal celebrations for him.

Not sure you can equate a player sticking his fingers up another (or whatever an accurate description is) to a shoulder to shoulder challenge or sliding tackle.

The latter two are both allowed and part of the game, albeit sometimes are mistimed or carried out over aggressively.

Sticking fingers up another player is nowhere near any allowed action.

Also, who honestly cares what other fans think. I barely have enough time to be up to date to stuff on here, never mind what other randoms who support other teams think.

We’re starting to get a bit of a rep for being sore losers who blame every dropped point on the ref. Seen fans of a few clubs mention it.

It's not even as if it's exaggerated when you look at some of the decisions not given though.

We are in danger of becoming a load of moaning whingers.
Every time we don’t win, it’s the reff or something else to blame.
I am as bad ,as I blame sh** referees all the time.
But we are quickly getting a reputation as an entitled bunch of complainers, and that doesn’t sit right with me somehow.

Can you name a game where the criticism of the ref hasn't been justified?
And why are you worrying about what others think of us, fuck em.

You would be right if it wasn’t true - with the refs players will Go up and down with the season - even good athletes get hit with injuries and sickness

No it’s always justified to me,the reffs are sh** and we get nothing according to my sky blue specs.
But then you look at the other teams fans comments, and they are saying exactly the same.
And yes I am bothered about us being known as the championship whingers.

This is not a fan or certain club issue.

This is about the standard of refs across the country. In two of the top leagues in the world the standard is getting worse.

Not sure what the solution is but it does need addressing. I know they are trialing a challenge system somewhere which places a duty of burden onto a club not the ref, But not 100% sure how that works or if it will. But every fan is frustrated by VAR, standard of officiating throughout the country not just when we are involved.

What's not justified? There's good reason prone are moaning.

We've consistently criticised the standard of refereeing in games we've won this season. So, whilst I agree that from the Ipswich game we didn't deserve any points from our performance. It's not correct to say we whinge only when we lose.
I've previously stated that the PL & EFL need to recruit some of the best officials from around the world.
The PL in particular has the money to initiate this. They're funding the clubs to recruit the best players in the world and letting them be officiated by some of the worst!

We do it when defending corners. We bear huge some of the opposition. I don’t like it I do agree with it. But we aren’t completely innocent as a side either.

My honest take is all football fans are good at spotting infringements by the opposition and mistakes the ref makes against them. But not so good when it’s the other way around

Swans lose but only just - Swansea City News

The Swans fell to defeat at the divisions top side this afternoon at Coventry City. The inconsistency and some would say a lot more of referee Sam Allison was shocking - as was the miss towards the end by Liam Cullen.
