Is it me or does Lampard sound a bit like the squad isn’t as good as he expected there?

Talks well again, and again worth noting he’ll only have had two free midweeks when the new year comes round. Talk of “training in games” is interesting.

He's going to get into trouble with the boss as he seemed to refer to himself as a manager there

Reading between the lines I'd be surprised to see Kitching back as that felt like a message to him or maybe Binks: Stay fit, train well.

Thomas' answers seemed a bit naive to me really, hope it dawns on the players soon that they're halfway through the season and much closer to relegation than anything else.

Yes, I agree but take it with a pinch of salt that you don’t want to publicly admit we’re in trouble. I want the manager and players to show confidence at this stage of the season.

Yeah I understood it as that. Wouldn’t surprise me to see the same back line start tomorrow and the next game. I guess nice to have a bit of consistency in that respect at least.
