Can someone remind me/us all what friendly matches (and dates) remain and if you were Thorn what you would use each match for ie specific training objectives....

I think the standard practice is to hone your fitness in the first few and hone your tactics in the final few. Make sure all the players who are likely to make an appearance have got a bit of match sharpness and make sure you have had a chance to see a few different combinations at work in matches. I think we are about half way there in terms of our pre-season games, although it remains to be seen if we are half way there in terms of our pre-season preparation.

Thanks sw88. Had the Stanley date in my diary but not the others. Hoping to get to Accrington but not as keen if he's going to start a similar team to Nuneaton...

I was going to Stanley too, but went to Nuneaton and now I'm giving Stanley a miss.

I'll let AT experiment and I'll be back for the new season when the players are fit

From what Thorn said yesterday I think tonight v Wrexham will be mostly 'First XI' players, and Stanley on Saturday will be fringe players, similar to Nuneaton game.

iI dont think the Nuneaton experience will happen again . AT needed to look at two old fashioned cforwards and a winger. Unfortunately our decent centre mids needed a break and therefor surrendered the midfield to a confident nuneaton .

Shame really as I fancied 'ticking' the ground off my 92 but the 3.5hrs each way for the Nuneaton experience would be galling....
