It is scare mongering if you say the club won't be here..

How many months have I been saying about nopm and how it's only going to damage the club and not sisu because of the break even stuff? That's why I'm not sure why it's such a shock.

He is running the business into the ground. He has total contempt for his "customers" and is not bothered if they come back or not. He is the Chairman of a company who is providing a very poor standard product but who blames the "customers" for the fact that they do not buy the product any more and that it will therefore be of even worse quality in the future. The fact that they do not bother how bad the business gets as they will only make further cuts is surely the warning sign. CCFC are a means to an end for them, nothing more and I think they would discard this club in the blink of an eye and without a backward glance. Not scaremongering, looking at the future.

You said he wasn't as outrageous as has been said on here. Yet you agree that he is saying that you should not go to games anymore.

What has he got to say for it to be outrageous?

Not true, NOPM will only damage the club while 8K-9K still go, but once you go down to say 4K-5K, the none movable outgoings will be too great to sustain. There will come a point when SISU will have to start funding it and they won't like that.

but they sustained 2-2.5K for over a season at Sixfields.
And even if you're right, if they have to start funding it what do you think they'll do, do you think they'll give it away?

I found TF about cutting the budget if income drops a strange one. I mean what is the lowest the income can be for the club to be able to run week in week out, year in, year out. At what point does the club become unattainable for the owners to hold it?.

If they fail to pay players or staff under contract or fail to fund enough players to play fixtures surely the FL have to step in.
So at the current model TF runs must have a sliding scale which he can move within, but at some point the wriggle room and minimum he has to have kicks in.

For those wanting a change of ownership sadly this base has to be hit before Sisu go, I would of thought the gap to failure on running the football club on the pitch is way closers than the gap to success. It's a viable business as of now, going off what Tim said, TM and staff wages have saved the club a few quid. But now with Slade's in, results and gates have to improve as TF no matter how blasé doesn't want relegation, as that tipping point becomes very much a reality of Sisu throwing in the towel or having to invest.

It's common sense what he has said, it's just not the way he said it.

I also meant to say that this is not NOPM, this is simply people voting with their feet as they will not stand for the contempt with which they are held. If customers do no go back to a restaurant they used to like but which has now gone down hill, are they NOPM too?

And they moved back to the Ricoh, because it was unsustainable.

yep, but despite all that, despite the fact that crowds have gone from 20,000 plus down to 7 or 8,000, they're still here and are now achieving their main aim, to make the club at worse break even or perhaps even turn a profit.
That suggests to me that falling revenue matters not one jot to them as long as they can keep cutting and keep out of the red.

But what happens now that all the players worth anything have been sold and there is no sign of another 7 figure player coming through?

They moved back to the Ricoh because it had been sold to Wasps. We only went to Northampton to devalue the arena.

His point that protests distract the players and can be disruptive isn't really that outrageous. That was what he was getting at. I may disagree but he's entitled to think that as do many others. What is outrageous is people suggesting supporters are the problem

They came back pretty sharpish though. I think Sisu would have had to step in with funds ( maybe they even did) if Wilson had not been sold. I don't think it was sustainable.

Maybe they'll stick the youth team out.
The only thing that fisher has said with any conviction which I actually believe is that they will not put any more money into the club and they will run it cash neutral.

Playing half a team of kids has us in 23rd place. At least playing 11 kids can only have us 1 place lower.

Then why don't they at least give an indication that they want to sell. I really hope you are right.

Maybe I will but I still wouldn't want his address put out there or him being confronted by people. There are many people on here who I don't agree with and one in particular is pretty aggressive. Wouldn't want them "outed" either.

It's funny that everyone says "we all have our own opinion" yet some threaten those they don't agree with. Regardless of whose side you are on, I don't think it is right. And , as I said, I'm not sticking up for him as I have no idea who he is.

I wasn't talking about the fans, I was saying that Fisher and co came back quickly probably due to losses.
However, from your comment it seems that Tim is not the only one that holds Coventry people in contempt.

As I said they came back because a deal was brokered by Waggott and the Bishop of Coventry. CCC were even hinting about ownership in the press despite already having sold to Wasps. I'm sure you're right though, cashflow must have had something to do with it. And my point about the fans stands, I think. We packed out the place for that first game then the attendance more than halved for the next.

I read she injected £600K but was informed on here it was more like a million.

Pressley never helped himself did he, the football he was serving us was the shittest I've ever witnessed until Venus. That had some factor over crowds.

Sure the losses played a part but they were aware of Wasps around mid June
Byng Was on the terraces at Swindon I think showing people an email he'd had
They wouldn't have been able to progress the various court actions had they stayed away IMO.

Whole different discussion so not going to get into it other than to say that fans of our club are no different to those else where. Give people a sniff of success they will come (Crewe, Burton last season). In terms of winning games I am sure we are the least successful club in the league over the past 50 years. Add in 9 years of Sisu it is amazing anyone goes.

No, of course you're not going to get in to it. Never expected you to.

People go because they support their football club. Many of them have supported their football club for decades. I don't really think it is that amazing. Well, only really to those who don't think they should go, I suppose.

This is my club. I started going in February 1967 so nearly 50 years. I will always support this club though maybe only at away games next year, I have not made my mind up yet. Like you I am sure and like most people on here it truly is " City till I die" . However I can understand why for some they have had enough and will only come back when what they see is more worthwhile. Doesn't mean they are not City fans. They are in fact City fans in waiting.

I agree. It's been 44 years for me. However, I was just pointing out that I don't think it is "amazing" that there is still a good hardcore of support. It might shrink, but it will always be there. People just need to accept that fact.
