No. You were being the normal you.

Onyeka is a great signing. He has come to us because he wants to play for us and will give everything he can to get us promoted. Hamer only turns up these days when he feels like it. I'm so glad we didn't sign Hamer and brought in someone for about the same money as Hamer would have cost us if they were willing to let him go without taking a gamble on an expected wage.

The one thing the signing of Onyeka will do is show the difference of a bit player for a top half side of the Prem to players considered to be good Championship players. If we get promoted we will have a player for approx 8m that will fill an important position on the pitch.

You have just said Onyeka surpasses Hamer in every aspect. That is a bit silly.

We need to accept the occasional red card with the way he plays. The refs at this level can be very poor and he is very good at tackling from where you wouldn't expect.

The good thing is they won't be ready to dive as they won't be expecting the tackle.

If you aren’t replying back to him what’s the point in him answering?

Because I haven't said it so it can't be shown.

You should know because he has learned everything he doesn't know from you.

You listed all things about Onyeka that are supposed positives, including passing which I dont necessarily agree with, and ended with Hamer?

This infers you were suggesting the question what is Hamer better at.

Hope this clears things up.

I'm not wumming. I am now 16 days clean

Onyeka has consistently played at a higher standard than Hamer, so to claim Hamer is superior in those areas is without foundation.

Hamer has more goals and assists at Premier League level in 1 season than onyeka does in 4, so there is foundation really isn't there.

We'll see what he's like for ourselves soon enough, let's hope he's fit and ready to go.

I wouldn't give too much credit to twitter folk, a quick look on their forum during AFCON shows they wanted him back ASAP.
I suspect twitter for them is the usual toxic bedwetting type that frequents online fanbases, especially twitter post players leaving.

Played well for his country recently. Didn't notice any fitness concerns.

I agree. I think he will be ready to go.

His recent matches for his country should mean he is match fit but equally he hasn't played so many matches that he will be exhausted.

Aren't you just saying he can't pass based on what a Brentford fan has said?

Surely we just watch him and judge? Better for us than Hamer, again, we will find out after a few games.

Otherwise we will just say Gyokeres will be shit for us because Swansea fans said.

Well its more the fact that Hamer has a proven record of creative and inventive passing that leads to lots of assists. Just see his involvements against ipswich for Sheff U.

Yes Onyeka may have a good passing accuracy, but you can't dispute hamers chance creation.

For what its worth im far from criticising Onyeka, I've been one championing his signing since he was first linked. I just find it odd for posters to use Hamer as a barometer to judge Onyeka's ability by.

What I don't understand is where he fits alongside Matty Grimes. When I look at his career stats he's registered barely any goals and assists which leads me to believe he's a very defensive midfielder. Does that mean we play him alongside Matty Grimes and have two defensive midfielders? Does only one of them play at a time? Does Frank go into the CDM role and Matty Grimes slightly further up in the 8?

Considering most of us posted on the ‘age’ thread, it seems as if some have lied about their ages and most are actually only about 17: going by the arguments above!

Grimes is not a number 8.

They will probably play as a double pivot with Onyeka being the one to push on, or Onyeka well play as a 6 so we can rest grimes.

Esse wasnt rated by some Palace Fans and deemed not good enough, Hes scored 2 in 3, and yes there are sone improvements he needs to make, but that will come with time and the more he plays.
Same for Onyenka, deemed not good enough by some Brentford fans but could thrive at this level. Hopefully he will give us the stability we need in midfield and give Grimes the support he needs

He rotated but played long minutes when he was on, I think. The tournament overall could have been fairly demanding, so that all seems good but players do lose match sharpness pretty quickly.

Grimes will be left and Onyeka on the right with a question of who’s the 10. Better balance and reduces the pressure on Grimes.

We have Torp and Rudi who can both be used further forward now and give each other rest and competition. I think it could be a really great loan for us. We can also now give Grimes a bit of a breather sometimes!

Although Hamer has the engine of a food blender. Swings and round abouts i guess. We need an engine not a spoiler

You'd imagine the first choice three will be Grimes, Onyeka and Rudoni.

Eccles as Onyeka's backup and Torp as Rudoni's.

Grimes to continue playing every single second for all eternity

I think this is the plan. Stick with the 316 in possession but make it work with some superhuman legs as the 1 instead of Torp or Eccles.

I can see Eccles deputising for Grimes occasionally too y’know. Whether FL does it or not remains to be seen.

I know exactly what you mean!

For me Rudi is Torp's backup but it won't work like that!
