I think on Jan 1st if we said we'd sign Onyeka, Esse, Minny and Markhelo, everyone here would be chuffed to bits. However we've since lost a couple of tight games and so need the entire back 4 changing.

You explained it better than me tbf.It's less about wanting the team to lose - it's more a self-preservation technique thing of being incredibly negative about everything so that when we win it doesn't matter because every one is happy, but when we lose, the negative people can go on about being right about everything.
