Daily Mail reporting we are after him
Brentford's Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka is a target for Championship title chasers Coventry.
Though a regular for his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, Onyeka has struggled for game time since the arrival of Jordan Henderson and has made just nine appearances for Brentford this season.
Coventry hope he can be persuaded to join them on loan and make a swift return to the Premier League.
Coventry's rivals Birmingham City, co-owned by Tom Brady, are also making a pitch for the 28-year-old who spent last season on loan at Augsburg.
@Saddlebrains ask the kitman straight up if this is the player he was on about. Hardly a secret now its in the Daily Mail.
Could imagine him in a double pivot with Grimes,
Agreed. Think we would be a lot more conservative.I think this is the way we'll go if we go up
I think you and i have been given similar info like usual. So for me this would make sense as i was told we had enquired after a midfielder in the Prem, but a valuation couldn't be agreed, which usually means they have hiked up price with it being January.Fired them a message, will keep you posted
Do you think we will actually change our entire style of play at this stage of the season?Could imagine him in a double pivot with Grimes, allowing BTA at CAM to push up with the Striker creating more of a traditional 442.
How is that changing our entire style of play?Do you think we will actually change our entire style of play at this stage of the season?
Unless of course they get promoted via the play offsThe best part about getting promoted? Not having Birmingham City's name on the end of every one of our transfer rumours
Seems highly unlikely.Unless of course they get promoted via the play offs
Why do Birmingham try and sign literally all our targets
I feel like Scandinavian recruitment is quite easy and lazy. Literally anyone on this forum could go and compile a half decent list with a bit of time and Championship links are becoming more common as they will rarely move from leagues like that direct to the Prem. Why do Birmingham try and sign literally all our targets
Don’t fucking look at me,palMaybe they have a mole in our transfer department
Why do Birmingham try and sign literally all our targets
We have competition for Rudoni in Esse, sign an athletic box to box midfielder then Torp can also fill Rudoni's positionHad a look at his stats for last season at FC Augsburg and I don't see anything that says he'd solve our issue i.e. competition for Torp and Rudoni.
If anyone knows where to get fancy graphs and wants to show us different, go for it. In the one I found, he looks like an average DM that makes tackles.
We haven’t played with a double pivot all season - I’m just asking if you think we’re going to start with <20 games to go.How is that changing our entire style of play?
Its hardly a brand new formation change. Its basically what we were playing when BTA was at CAM.
OK he will play in Torps role as an 8 then.We haven’t played with a double pivot all season - I’m just asking if you think we’re going to start with <20 games to go.
If we get this tied up it's a decent window really. I'd still like to piss off one of our LBs and bring a better one in if possible though.
KKH was good that side against Charlton before he got injured tbf, made me wonder why it hadn't been tried over Bidwell/Brau up to that point.Yeah, would constitute a good window in my opinion.
Don't think we'll see another LB in though, even if one goes when you consider KKH can cover that side
