We won the league and cup at Maccabi Tel Aviv and got to the last 16 of the Europa Conference. He was also assistant with Rep. of Ireland and at Middlesbrough.

He left the job in Israel in the summer because well it was in Israel.

Robbie Keane: Former Premier League striker leaves Maccabi Tel Aviv manager role

Former Republic of Ireland and Tottenham striker Robbie Keane leaves his role as Maccabi Tel Aviv manager after a year in charge.

If he was too scared to stay in Israel because of the war, he's got no chance of dealing with the conflict between some Coventry fans at Doug King when we lose two games in a row under a manager who isn't Mark Robins!

Why? What's he done? At least Lampard has had some decent club experience as the main man.

He won the league in Israel. Yes I know that’s not the same level but he must have something about him

Not what I heard... He left because the owners & fans found out that Maccabi Tel Aviv was not the club he supported as a kid!

One thing I haven’t really seen mentioned on here is if he does come based on being abit choosey on the overlap and other interviews. He will bring Morris with him at least, who is by all accounts a fantastic coach. If the good intentions post is true about the quality of the new ones, think this appointment will get the coaching back to a high level and might tempt other coaches to join us (Thinking John Terry from Chelsea U21s)
He didn’t take Morris with him to Everton, but maybe Morris was already in a job elsewhere at the time?

Are you comparing the Israeli league to Premiership/Championship experience?

He’s got Israeli league experience, won it on his first attempt breaking Maccabi Haifa’s 3 year winning streak, won a cup there too, managed in Europa conference league all in 1 season.

Frank Lampard has failed in all 5 seasons he’s managed.

Failed to win a trophy? Then yes.

But Keane he would be a shambolic appointment for us.

The arguments for two fucking shit candidates. Keane really, really, really, would not be any better.

What a state.
