We don't but he looked very credible in press conferences and looked like he knew what he was doing when seen on the touchline. Even last night he showed some savvy with the goalie down team talk

Never mind a statue for Robins, if he can get 90 minutes into Torp I'll start the fund raising for one for him.

This is a big move by king, and is clearly backing lampard by appointing his people. It really feels like it’s shit or bust. Lampard must be a success.

His managerial career in England is over if he fails with us.

Appoint all his staff and you’re paying massive compo if it fails. At the same time if you think he’s the right man you should give him all the tools he says he needs

Coaching reshuffle with two moving back down to the youth setup and a few senior coaches in to replace them. Boateng and Carr to remain, unfortunately Williams too but what can you do…

Is this what you know or believe might happen?

Given success is playing off in 3 of the 5 season, Lampard now has to make play it's in 2 of the next 2.5 seasons

Was at Chelsea under the following managers too:

José Mourinho (136 Games),
Carlo Ancelotti (109 Games),
Antonio Conte (106 Games),
Rafael Benítez (48 Games),
Roberto Di Matteo (42 Games),
André Villas-Boas (40 Games),
Guus Hiddink (27 Games),
Steve Holland (1 Game)

For that many top managers to keep him around, it suggests he has something about him

I think we all agree Rhys Carr deserves to stay as part of the coaching setup. Not really arsed about anyone else, especially if we bring better in as part of the new manager appointment

We certainly don’t all agree. Rhys Carr should be shown the exit door at the first available opportunity, and take Boateng with him.

They are part of the problem, a great example is last night; playing Sakamoto totally out of position for 60+ minutes and standing watching Dasilva get totally roasted for the first 45 minutes, yet send him back out for the second half.

I don’t think he does. This season is a write off and assuming we aren’t relegated next season is when he’ll be judged either way.

If we are bringing in Edward’s, Jones and one of Morris or Cole it’s easy to see why the negotiations have taken time.

I'm only saying what King deems a success. If this season is a write off (I completely agree it is), then success can only be play offs next season.

I mean Edward’s alone has a champions league medal as the assistant manager at the team, that’s mental

I like Dasilva, but agree. Problem is our ready made replacement is Bidwell who is just as poor. A position that certainly needs addressing.

I'm going to sleep now

If it isn't announced by the time I wake up I'll pay someone to go and slap Doug hard enough it leaves a hand print on his face

I’d say 12th would be a decent finish this season with a proper playoff push from the off next season.

Aled Williams we know is a fool who should have no business carrying on. Two came from the youth set up where they were doing ok, which leaves Boateng and Carr. It might just be too expensive to boot Boateng as well as hire all the new staff and to be kind, he hasn’t been here long either.

I haven’t seen Morris or Cole mentioned in any articles. Maybe this was the compromise, he wanted everyone but has Edwards, Jones instead?

If we need a more defensive option, could we throw Kitching into left fullback? Think he’s played there before?
