Don’t blame Lampard for wanting to bring his coaches with him. Fairly common practice and if he wants to give himself the best chance of success he’ll want people around him he knows and trusts.

It's worked well for players like Sako and Torp, and its currently working for Sunderland - they got Regis Le Bris as Manager from FC Lorient and he's doing a pretty decent job at the SoL. I bet he's on cheaper wages than Lampard would be on here as well.

To me King is learning the hard way. He might have looked at how much the wage for this kind of position is presently and expected similar again. But those Lampard wants with him are expecting more.
